Exactly. During the Bush administration I remember a lot of FReepers gushing over this woman without ever justifying their adoration by actual positions she had taken. When they would be asked what conservative positions she had espoused made them back her for high office, there would be no response. It was like an earlier day when so many were on the Colin Powell bandwagon even though he, also, never gave any evidence of being a conservative.

And, as you indicate, Rice showed she is no conservative by backing the Marxist in 2008, as did Powell.

I thought voting “feel good” was supposed to be an exclusively libtard phenomenon.
