Nice. As an active duty Marine, I believe the R will be less harmful to our republic. I count myself very conservative, but have enough sense to stay away from “scorched earth” strategies. I am hoping for Newt, but will support R if I have to.

You may be on the wrong site. This is a CONSERVATIVE site. Not Republican. We have principles and we stand by them.
Also, Romney does NOT have the needed 1144. He still can be stopped. And REAL Patriots intend to try.

Thanks. This confirms the candidate test I took that showed Obama represents me better than Romney does. Not that I can stomach the commie Muslim. Just, Romney is even further to the left.
Amazing.

If we control both houses of Congress by a large majority, we can reverse much of what Obamas done and he cant do a damn thing to stop it. We could even pass a constitutional amendment or two and send them to the states for ratification. Thats the best case scenario we face, IMO. If Romney wins, its business as usual, especially if we control both houses. The GOP-e and RINOs will never listen to or consider conservatives again.
But ... if we give them absolutely solid majorities in both houses of Congress but deny them the presidency, guess what? Theyll never ignore us again.
That is some of the clearest, best logic and reasoning I've seen on this issue since these discussions began. Kudos!

See tagline. The "I don't really want to, but I'll have to support Willard" crowd epitomize that statement.
To make it clearer, let me provide the context:
To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe. In both cases such mode of behaving is base and is insulting to God, and both are incompatible with the salvation of mankind. This kind of conduct is profitable only to the enemies of the faith, for nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good. Moreover, want of vigor on the part of Christians is so much the more blameworthy, as not seldom little would be needed on their part to bring to naught false charges and refute erroneous opinions, and by always exerting themselves more strenuously they might reckon upon being successful. After all, no one can be prevented from putting forth that strength of soul which is the characteristic of true Christians, and very frequently by such display of courage our enemies lose heart and their designs are thwarted. Christians are, moreover, born for combat, whereof the greater the vehemence, the more assured, God aiding, the triumph: "Have confidence; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)From a letter by Pope Leo XIII (1890), On Christians as Citizens
To support a pro-abort, homosexualist chameleon solely because he might not be as bad as Øbama is the height of cowardice and displays conduct unworthy of a Christian.

Im a Republican and at the end, I will support the partys nominee.
Karl Rove and the rest of the GOP establishment thank you for your bleet.
You're no conservative, and when you get sheered with the rest of the GOP sheep, you'll learn the hard way.

You don’t get to tell me if I’m a conservative or not as much as I get to tell you. Like I said in my post, get over it!

A broken glass Republican is never a conservative. They are party first, even if it means compromising their principles.

Romney is a Democrat. However, Romney is American and is not working for foreign enemies. How can you tell?

So, between the two that have a chance of being elected president in 2012, who will you vote for? The Democrat Socialist, or the Republican Socialist? Sadly, the Republican Socialist because I've already seen how terrible the Democrat Socialist is and could not stomach in any way shape or form for more years of it or understand why any rational person would prefer four more years of it when the Republican Socialist is, at least, pro-business and would cause the markets to begin expanding again, causing more investment and more jobs.
The Democrat Socialist only means four more years or brutal pain and I've already been out of work enough times under his presidency to not want four more years of it. I'd vote for a pet rock before I'd do anything that might put Obama in office another four years.

Nobody ever said Mitsy was conservative, just more conservative than Obama Prove it. Per his record, he's every bit as liberal as Obama is.

Honestly, with comments like that (>>Ill vote for Obama, just to make a statement.<<), I really beginning to think that we have DUmmies in our midst instigating this inane division.
