Typical lack of fact checking, or plain lying, by NBC.

Penguins don’t bite, they have no teeth. They are birds after all.

I was wondering how he managed to get bit by a penguin. I had the pleasure of getting to pet a penguin last Christmas, which was pretty cool, but I wasn’t at all worried about being “bit” or even pecked.

Yes, they can bite. They also leave terrible bruises when they do bite a human.

Birds have no teeth, but they have beaks and sure as heck can bite. My wife had a goose fasten on to her leg and it would not let go until she hoisted him off the ground by his neck. The bite left a good bruise.

Here’s a good research project for you: stick your finger in a parrot’s cage.
