I saw this show one time that investigated some black religious center in America (can't remember the city.) The leaders in this place basically taught that every important person in western civilization was actually black. George Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Henry VIII, Napoleon, Alexander The Great, all blacks. Didn't look black you say? That's cause they were partly black then. The evil people in history were all white. Oh, and blacks were the original inventors of everything. Electricity, steam power, algebra, all invented by blacks long before the white people stole everything and started erasing the black man's history. They pointed to medieval paintings in which all the skin paint had the look of black people as proof. (This was evidence that white people had forgotten to destroy.)
All I remember about the show was that it involved a thin man wearing glasses, whom I believe was British, traveling to America to investigate racism. There were other shows as well. One was about gun laws.
This is Afro-centrism, which was called “voodoo anthropology” by none other than Louis Gates. I think he has tried to scrub this aspect of his work from the Net because it made so many people unhappy.
