I agree, but the odd thing is that is all the prosecution charged him with.

I was told that, in Florida, the prosecution can hit you with the whole gamut: murder 1&2, manslaughter, negligent homicide, and others, to ensure you get something.

But the odd thing is, it’s either murder 2 or George might walk.

It’s like they want to charge him to calm the situation, but also give him an easy path to acquittal.

I think she is there to simply keep the whole situation inflamed. If I heard her right, she talked about the murder victim, Trayvon and tossed in “homicide” a few times. I think she should just give the mob a noose and be done with it.

Murder 1 charge requires a Grand Jury. So that was out the moment they announced it would not go to a GJ.

The jury is free in FL to go with a charge below Murder 2, I believe.

M2 automatically includes the possibility of the lesser charges, I think.
