D*mn, Rick folded like a cheap lawnchair. The Pennsylvania polling must have had him losing big to Myth. Since he lost the Senate reelection by nearly 20%, he'd probably be throwing away everything he'd gained by going through with the primary.

Rats. I doubt he'd endorses Newt. He's bought and paid for now.

It is quite a bit more likely that his daughter is reaching a time when she will need two adults to care for her. Two trips to the hospital this close together cannot be a good sign. You are correct on one thing, the 60/40 split cannot get Newt close enough to deny the nomination.

No one, but no one drops out days before the primary in their own state......unless they weren’t going to win it. What were the Santorum supporters thinking? Did they think Santorum losing his senate seat by 18 in PA was some kind of glitch?
