If you have not been a supporter of Mitt Romneys since the start of the GOP primary campaign, you may be one of those stubborn conservatives, those obstinate Tea Partiers, or those recalcitrant Constitutionalists, who are yet refusing to commit to Gov. Romney at this midpoint of the nomination race. Perhaps you are tired of hearing words like coalesce, electable, inevitable, and presumptive, and phrases like, Its time to get behind Mitt, or We really have to decide so we can focus on Obama.

Limbaugh started talking everything Mitt, so I turned it off. Gonna be a long summer.
I’m not sure conservatism will survive Mitt. We know that GOP leadership won’t fight him on anything.
Look at how many “conservatives” are caving in and jumping back over the fence to the grand old plantation.
That’s a sad ‘lay-back and keep low’ commentary from one hard-core conservative organization that we had... now, leaning away from the appropriate confrontation needed.
Mittens needs at least $6 gas to win. The Israelis just might put him in office if they take out the Iranian nuke sites.
And scoffing contemptuously at those who don't.
I am not RESTISTING Willard.
I'm REJECTING him with swift fierceness, extreme prejudice and absolute abhorrence - like I do every liberal.
Levin did the same thing not two minutes into his show. For all his ranting and raving it was just so much bull$hit. Screw the CINOs. (Conservative In Name Only)
I’m not just resisting the calls to “coalesce” behind Mitt. I will not vote for that gay activist baby killer NO MATTER WHAT.
If he wins, then the only workable alternative will be to throw the GOP in the garbage where it belongs and to coalesce behind a new conservative party candidate.
Whether that’s possible depends on the good sense of conservatives I’m not terribly optimistic. But there will be no other choice, as far as I’m concerned.
Lesser of two evils? We’ve been doing that for the past 50 years and more, and where has it gotten us? Reagan was the only decent one of the bunch, and not even Reagan managed to cut government spending or programs.
NFW will I support Romney the socialist turd.
FUMR!
Look at how many conservatives are caving in and jumping back over the fence to the grand old plantation."
The GOPE may have gained the much coveted fence riding independants, but they lost the conservatives. Zero sum gain for the GOPE.
I would like to grab Karl Rove by his belt with one hand, and by the scruff of his neck with the other... and repeatedly ram his head into a brick wall. They did it us again. A repeat of the McShame disaster of 2008.
I have come to the conclusion that the GOPE are not freedom loving red-blooded limited government constitutional conservatives. The GOPE is "the other left" as far as I'm concerned.
They can talk all they want, it ain’t over. If Rick takes PA he can upset the race enough that we’ll have a brokered convention.
Don’t let them control the conversation, it’s not over!!
Yes, it’s sad that in order to defeat Obama we have to vote for the least viable Republican candidate. Such is life it seems - at least for this cycle.
Tea Party folks seem to have given up on the Republican vote though so expect much worse in the future. This will almost surely be temporary as things change but it will require a tough hide for a few years until things change for the best.
Both parties are corrupt and need to be changed. The major problem is that the Democrat party is supported by almost (or over) 50% of the leeches (no work, suck benefits, vote party line). That will be difficult to overcome.
Any new party will require a few years to develop. If that does not work, then we are doomed by the majority of those that receive benefits but are not required to work for them.
Such is the destruction of our Republic.
RINO Romney Ruse may be the man of the day. UNBELIEVABLE.
I am let down that one of the candidates didn’t buck the bridle off and go Third Party.
Such an event would have been the perfect place for the PROTEST vote, of hereto-for Republican conservatives, now being herded onto trains of our own making.
We lost time hoping instead of doing. Where did that happen before? .........Oh.
Man, Cicero, I so relate.
The only thing Mitt is electable for is LOSER!
Why is it they always come up with every other reason conservatives don’t like Romney but the truth? He’s a liberal democrat whose socialist goals are so similar to Obama’s that we don’t see there is a choice between them.
Romney is not just a nice guy who fought hard and survived a grueling primary season. He’s a socialist who pretends to be conservative in order to fool people into voting for him. He’s not just a boring candidate who doesn’t know how to inspire people. He’s a socialist who is responsible on as state scale for many of the things Obama is trying to do nationally. Romney has already achieved in Massachusetts what Obama is attempting to achieve across the nation. Romney’s accomplished history is an Obama future. On top of that, his people have made statements casting doubt on any promises conservatives might have liked, such as eliminating Obamacare.
Somehow we just can’t get excited about a future of $50.00 or free abortions, weapons bans, free cars and free car insurance to welfare recipients, gay marriage and promotion of the gay agenda, cap and tax, activist liberal judges, mandates, executive orders, hatred of conservatives, conservative ideas and conservative candidates, as well as any number of other socialist policies. Top all of that off with the fact that he’s a lying phony and you have the real reason Mitt has trouble with conservatives.
Just Great! And just which party would you vote for!
Romney is not a conservative, he is not even right of center.
We've been laying the foundations of a new principled, practical Reaganite conservative party since the nomination of John Judas McCain.
Resist We Much!!
If Romney gets the nomination, this conservative will support him and vote for him.
Cicero, maybe something good could come of all this. If Romney loses maybe, just maybe, he will take the Republican Party with him. And conservatives would have the opportunity to build a party that represents us.
We would have to go against the juggernaut that is the Democrat Party, but at least we will have a constituency that agrees with each others and an honest, conservative message to take into our campaigns.

Well said.
Actually you’re right but who to vote for this election? At least we are trying to take back the country from the established politicians!
Don’t worry about me, just mind your own business and git back to pickin your master’s cotton. LOL
And, there is still plenty of time to put a lot more principled patriots on the ballot for most offices.
Folks who think the formerly grand old party is the only game in town simply don’t know the rules.
If the Republicans and the Democrats are only offering candidates who won’t keep their oaths of office, run someone else.
Ah yes, absolutely for lower offices. We can and will overtake the corrupt party eventually but it will take time and unfortunately this election is about whether Obama continues to decimate America.
The Presidential election is to be taken apart from the Tea Party efforts - out of necessity. We do have to save the country first.
Romney is the end of the GOP. End of story. Kaput!
I’m with you. Allowing Obama a second term is close to treason.
Mittens is a damn dummycrat and is NOT a Republican. It’s a disgrace to have this pro-homosexual lifestyle, pro-abortion, pro-high taxes, pro-liberal judge appointment, pure phony in our party. Why didn’t he run against Obummer in a democratic primary and leave us the hell alone?
We are absolutely screwed big time if this turncoat liar takes the top of our ticket.
Levin and the rest will all fall in line and attempt to convince all to elect another liberal, and once again, you’ll be told you have no choice.
Bush's second term was the end for me.
We've needed a second party for many years.
What are you talking about? The Republicans have already thrown the presidential election. All bets are now off.
One of the big picture items that is overlooked by many is this: Thirty or forty years ago, the ranks of the Republican Party were swelled by the “Silent Majority”, the “Values Voters”—social conservatives who began to be active politically. The result was a renewal, a resurgence of the Republican Party.
If this election results in a Romney vs. Obama standoff, then these social conservatives have nowhere to go. The result may be an exodus of the values voters from the Republican Party, with the Party being once again a minority party centered in the Northeast.
It’s really not that far-fetched a possibility.
No worries. No way does Romney win in November, and the singular upside is.. we`ll be rid of that POS on the political scene once and for all.
Romney is NOT going to be president of the USA. He was never intended to win
Well put. Thank you.
Please... be realistic.
---as we now join arm in arm. One more chorus as we march into the ovens:
GO!! MITT!!
I refuse to surrender my soul for the "good of the party".
So,are you saying a vote for Mitt is treason? He’s McLames second string.
Yes, but what does the future hold? We have to give up on the Presidential race (the republican insiders win again) but the future is open on lower races and eventually because of that, the future is unbound.
Of course this is dependent upon the US surviving Obama.
Perhaps it would be wise for Gingrich and Santorum (Paul is a lost cause) to switch gears and put whatever remaining money they and their PACs have into the Congressional elections. Holding both houses may be the only way to stave off the inevitable gutting of the Republic that will occur when Obama is re-elected.
Will Romney import and fund Hamas refugees to the United States? I doubt it.
Will Romney work to incite race riots and racial discord? I doubt it.
Will Romney beef up the military? I think so.
Yet, will Romney further regulate us? Probably.
Will Romney support socialist programs? Probably.
So its either headlong into either annihilation or revolution with Obama or the same slow decay that might be near the tipping point of disaster with Romney.
What a choice!
Time to take a VERY GOOD LOOK people. The America you all profess to love is almost gone and this evil (words omitted) ever gets back in for another 4 years, you can kiss life as you know it goodbye.
He is even telling the world that Christ had doubt. You above most should find this impossible to swallow. Any man the profess to speak for Christ is EVIL. HE MUST NOT GET BACK IN. We can take of Mittens on our own
Well said
