Am I on the right site? I’m pretty sure it says ‘Free Republic’, and not ‘Democrat Underground’.

You are simply limiting everyone else on this site who have been here decades longer than you have, by your personal level of religious piety. After all, this is not a church, it is a political site, populated with a range of dedicated conservative activists. And hopefully, it will not become limited to a fringe criteria as limited as yourself.

I’ll never forget Huckabee coming out of nowhere and winning the Iowa caucuses because the religious right and homeschooling associations mobilized. Because of Huckabee we ended up with McCain as our nominee. Because of demographics, these groups have an outsized influence on the outcome in Iowa, and therefore the outcome of the Republican primary. I’m not saying it’s bad or good, it’s just reality.
