whats interesting is the cult that has grown up around Mr. Ryan and in particular the way self-proclaimed centrists elevated him into an icon of fiscal responsibility, and even now cant seem to let go of their fantasy.

Speaking of Fantasy. Let's look at Debacle for some great Krugman proclamations:
"Consider, for example, the prediction Krugman made the day Obama signed the original stimulus bill into law: I am still guessing that we peak out at around 9% [unemployment] and that would be late this year [2009]." Furthermore, Krugman declared that double-digit unemployment was not the most likely event. As Norquist and Lott note, unemployment hit 10.1% and remained above 9% two years after Krugman predicted it would peak."
OR
"As Norquist and Lott reveal, Krugmans claims rely on a slippery game of sleight of hand; Krugman cherry-picks the only year when total government spending dropped, which was from 2009 to 2010, and even then, it was still much higher than just a couple of years earlier. In point of fact, note the authors, government spending has grown 12 percent since 2008 and 20 percent since 2007."
AND DON'T FORGET
"Krugman also thought that the 9/11 attacks could even do some economic good by stimulating the economy because all of a sudden, we need some new office buildings and rebuilding will generate at least some increase in business spending. Unfortunately, this is the cornerstone of Obamas Stimulus program. The examples also highlight how inconsistently these arguments are used by the president and his defenders. The 9/11 attacks or natural disasters in the United States were supposedly beneficial for the U.S. economy because they increase spending, but the earthquake in Japan was detrimental."

If Klugman is anti Ryan, that’s a plus for Ryan.
No kiddin! Sheesh, what a maroon.
When you excerpt something, can you at least give us a complete sentence?
Krugman is a “very clubable man”.
It’s amazing how smarmy a guy batting 0% can be.
Oh crap. I screwed up badly. It seems that I failed to copy the word the single word “NO” in the excerpt. I hope the missing word “NO” did not cause your day to come to a cataclysmic end. Looking back the word “NO” really impacted the meaning of the post.
Just wondering, if I had inserted the word “NO” would you not have linked to the actual story to read the complete sentence yourself?
Or, are you just one of those people that have to find something to complain?
And to answer you question, NO!

Don’t sweat it, sweetheart. I was just trying to save you some work. It’s easier to copy the entire sentence, if you know how.
