If his lackluster economic record as governor of Massachusetts is any indication of how he would perform as president, Michigan voters should beware of Mitt Romney.

"Michigan is like the canary in the mine shaft," Republican White House contender Willard Mitt Romney told voters in Warren Friday. "What happens in Michigan is going to happen to the rest of the country." He also claims in a campaign commercial, "I understand how the economy works. There's a lot we can do to strengthen Michigan."

One could take Romney seriously as an architect of economic redevelopment if he had displayed such skills as Massachusetts governor. Instead, his reign was a parade of economic stagnation and retreat. He even advocated an SUV-tax increase that would have hammered the very same domestic automotive industry he now says he champions.

Andrew Sum and Joseph McLaughlin of the Center for Labor Market Studies at Boston's Northeastern University placed Romney's rule beneath their statistical microscope. Let's hope what they discovered is not contagious.

"Our analysis reveals a weak comparative economic performance of the state over the Romney years, one of the worst in the country," the researchers wrote in the Boston Globe. Specifically, they found:

* As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.

* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.

I have never been a Romney supporter. But I have read all the “sources” listed and most of them are a stretch at best. The thing that struck me is that this is written as if it came out of the DNC. Possible???

Sorry, but Ann’s predictable pro-Willard propaganda lacks one important fact... ALL of their Governors are required by law to have a balanced budget in Massachusetts (Article 63, Section 2 of the 1780 Constitution). Michael Dukakis and Deval Patrick have “balanced the budget”, too. Looks like they qualify for the Republican nomination, too, by Coulter’s reckoning.

The ignorance of Romney supporters is staggering.

Anyone thinking the MSM hasn't been salivating over the prospect of having Mitt Romney as their target during the upcoming General election is a neophyte where politics is concerned.

They've had their hit pieces for Romney ready and in the can for months now.

They know, as an intelligent and informed conservative knows, that the only think inevitable about Mitt Romney is that he is the only candidate that guarantees an Obama re-election.

The Media and Obama will take Romney's left-wing, Progressive Liberal record and use it like a club to beat him over the head 24/7 until his candidate is a bloody pulp.

His left-wing progressive liberal record includes the following:

1. Implemented/created Gay Marriage in MA
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption in MA
3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly
4. Raised taxes/fees over 300% while being Governor of MA
5. Implemented a state-level Cap and Trade system.
6. Supported Man-Made Global Warming
7. Supported the Brady Bill
8. Implemented a state level "Assault" Weapons Bill after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire
9. Supported TARP
10. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (Citizenship for those already here)
11. Supported McCain-Kennedy(Amenesty)
12. Implemented a socialized medicine in MA called RomneyCare complete with an Individual Mandate and $50 abortions
13. Nominated 27 Democrats (out of 36 nominations) for judgeships in MA, many of them extreme left-wingers

You’re right about that SoCon. I’ve seen sources, no matter how conservative they are, attacked by these stealth Mitt supporters. The GOP-e doesn’t want us to trust anything but the we love Mittens websites.

They haven’t been able to refute the facts (there are too many videos and news articles of what Mitt has done), so they try to impugn the messengers. I guess they want people to believe Mitt has been photoshopped and his past history never really happened.
