So they have to put in women’s tees so they can be PC. It is a crime to be a male in this country.

Pray for America.

“I encourage Augusta to accept women members, but I recognize their right as a private organization to decide for themselves,” he said in a statement e-mailed to reporters.

There is the actual statement, for what it’s worth.

Newt Gingrich said his wife, Callista, a golfer herself, would be a “great member.” That is about as mild a statement as Santorum actually made, but it appears most posters on this thread have no real interest in reading the actual quot, but would rather trust the one line excerpt and CNN headline.

So why should he lose you. This man has been vilified by the left for his social issues and ripped for womens issues. Then the media mafia ask him about this and he gets hammered by fellow conservatives and if he had so no to the questions then the left would say “see, I told ya he hates women.” Come on people were all being played by the liberals. By ther way I support Newt.

Santorum would have been better of if he'd answered with, "As soon as white, Asian, Latino (wise Latino's), and any Other Than Black people are allowed in the Congressional Black Caucus or there exists a WET, White Entertainment Television channel on tv (like BET), then I'd agree that women should be allowed to join the Augusta Golf Club."

That should shut them up!

I've confessed many times before I don't read everything and that I'm prone to responding to a headline. Especially a headline that IMO, really has nothing to do with the names attatched except to associate those/that name(s) to a subject matter that, again IMO, pretty much is amusement rather than issue or policy related.

I am guilty.

Augusta doesn’t accept members. You have to be invited.

We had this argument before and decided there was nothing wrong with all female clubs and activities and therefore there is nothing wrong with all male clubs and activities. Our politicans are too stupid to remember what the femi-nazis are up to.

Can someone who likes him please urge him to stop running for Hall Monitor of the United States? I do not like him, but I do want him to thwart Willard, and I could even vote for him in the general. Please, please, someone teach him to distinguish between the jugular and the capillaries.

Yup. Anything and everything to distract from all of the problems created by the left.

They too will jump on the bandwagon.

Dunno about Newt, but I really doubt Ron Paul would get on that particular bandwagon.

He may be a bit of a nut, but he does understand the difference between public and private.

I voted for Newt also but as I stated on another thread, time for him to "fold em".

Now, as to Rick, I don't go for the pandering by him or Romney. Why do they even bother to respond to these set up questions? They do have control over what they say, even though sometimes it doesn't appear that way.

The Augusta National Masters PC pandering is a pet peeve that really gets to me.

Actually, I like to see Newt and Paul concede and let's see if Romney could get 51% of the votes for the first time.

Unfortunately I will have to agree with you about Newt and Romney. I feel that if it were Obama and Newt Newt is smart enough and good enough to call Obama out every time he opens his mouth and spews another lie. Newt would make Obama afraid to even get up in front of the public. I don’t know if Romney can do it and I am afraid Rick has shot himself in the foot too many times to recover.

How is it pandering to say, “I recognize their right to decide for themselves”?
