The Mitt Romney Deception (November 20, 2006)
MassResistance.com ^ | November 20, 2006 | Brian Camenker

Posted on 04/05/2012 10:15:00 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

Despite recent statements across the country by Governor Mitt Romney claiming he's pro-life, pro-family and a committed conservative, a broad investigation of his actual statements, actions, and public positions over the years indicates that he has spent his entire career speaking and governing as a liberal - and that his new found conversion to conservatism very likely coincides with his candidacy for the presidency.

. . . . . . . .

We believe this report is necessary due to a calculated effort by the Romney campaign to revise his history and portray the Governor as far more conservative than the record indicates. Already, the Governor's staff is making appointments with the nation's leading conservative leaders to convince them that he should be the standard bearer for the conservative movement in the upcoming presidential elections.

. . . . . . .

One of the few conservative publications to expose Romney's liberalism is the conservative weekly Human Events which (in a 2005 article) listed Romney at number eight on its list of "Top Ten Republicans in Name Only (RINOs)." Indeed, this report will demonstrate that Romney was probably the most pro-abortion and pro-gay rights Republican official in the nation for the last decade. The idea that he has suddenly become a conservative after a decade of liberal actions and statements would be merely amusing were it not for the fact that he's running for the presidency and that many conservatives are falling for this act.

Reagan was once a DEMOCRAT.

There's a concerted effort to get OBAMA ELECTED, NO DOUBT!

You know I have thought the same thing. Romney may not be what we wanted, gee I wanted Cain and sent over $200 to him. But, I will accept Romney and hope for the best. He has some conservatives names behind him. To me there really seems to be a lot of people who would be just as happy to have Obama in for a second term here. It is a little overboard. Yesterday, there was a post Soros said he could work with Romney and I thought well, who knows the real reason Soros would say that it couldn’t be to turn the conservatives off Romney even more. Who knows.
I will hope for the best and take faith that the good people who have endorsed in Romney such as Paul Ryan feel comfortable with him.

There is no difference between Romney and Obama. They both work for Soros.

Good point. Romney is not my first choice either.. But this election isn't just about replacing one person.. We can start with abolition of 0bama's Czars, then the appointment of Ryan or Rubio as VP, Palin (Secretary of Energy), Gingrich (Secretary of Defense), Darrel Issa (Head of DOJ), Paul Bolton (Secretary of State), Arpaio (Head of ICE!), and all other agencies that would be GUTTED of their current progressives, socialists, communists and Marxists.

The Anti-Romney crowd should focus on the fact that the totality of a changeover from Obama is far more significant than just a change of one president.

To all you anti-Romney's: STOP LAMENTING! START CIRCLING THE WAGONS!

Can you point to pro-abortion statements made by Reagan? Pro-gay marriage?

Sadly this is 2013 not 1980. Progressives have worked hard as long as i can remember back to 60s and even decades prior to that. I don’t see how we are ever going to return to Mayberry. I can tell you one thing for sure. If Obama is elected you might as well kiss it all goodbye.
By most liklihood, Romney will be nominee.
This constant trashing of him is not helping save this country.
I think Romney realizes this country is at tipping point, actually we are past the tipping point. If we don’t get this house in order, it isn’t going to be around.
Romney has some good solid conservatives with him and I am going to have faith that he will be a good president

No, but I can point to hoards of illegal aliens now in America because of Reagan. He was still one of our greatest presidents, if not the greatest. His achievements far, far, far outweigh his faults. Let's face it.. NO Republican candidate in this race is ideal. Not even close to what we'd like. I can point to Newt's 'bench sitting' with Nancy or Santorum's anti-'right-to-work' vote.

Personally, and no offense to anyone but I think Mormonism is one of the most bizarre religions.. It's totally unbelievable but there are believers. Go figure. But the FOCUS of this election is ousting not only 0bama, but HUNDREDS of his foot soldiers throughout our government. That is actually more important than the figurehead in the White House! STAY FOCUSED! LOSE THE LAMENTING AND START CIRCLING THE WAGONS, PAWDNER!

Well, might as well vote for Obama. Yeah that’s the ticket. Are you trying to convince people to vote for Obama?I wanted Herman Cain. I loved his enthusiasm. but he didn’t get it. I now accept that Romney will be the probable nominee.
Saying Romney and Obama are the same is kind of a far reach.
In my opinion, saying Obama and Bill clinton are the same is a far reach.
At any rate, Obama reelected in 2012, this country won’t last. So take your choice. Vote for Obama if you want

Yawn, this is getting old.

Thirty years of voting for lib Republicans is getting old.

Massresistance.org will prob get plenty of comments begging for Romney votes.

Modern Americans are more like Massacceptance.org.

Just stop. They are the same as far as goals are concerned. I was hoping Obama would be thrown out of office and we the people would insist on a conservative candidate; but I guess that is out of the question. We need to quit yammering and seriously do something. Btw, if Obama wins it will because of Romney.

I live in AZ, so he doesn’t need my vote. I have the luxury of refusing to vote for Romney.

Just stop. what kind of response is that. Obama is not going to be thrown out of office, no one cares about his fake birth certificate. Polls are tight for Romney/Obama and Obama Santorum. With 51% on government payroll, it won’t be because of one person, but because conservatives thoguth that U.S. citizens were all patriotic. Wake up, folks this isn’t your father’s country. We have people on disability, food stamps, illegal aliens all over the place, and do you think these people are going to vote for someone the Rats have told them repeatedly is going to take away their freebies. Who would ever imagine the war on Christianity that is happening now. I sure didn’t imagine that in my wildest dreams. These people just aren’t going to vote for any Republican. No. they aren’t.
If Romney is nominee, I will support him and my focus will be on Obama who is absolutely on the path to the total destruction of America.
That is just how I feel about if you want to keep telling people how awful Romney is and they sit out the election, then that is your absolute right.
Thanks for listening
Melissa

Melissa,

I applaud you for thinking you know everything I I know nothing. People will be sitting out the election; not because of anything I say; but how they feel and think. I care if Romney is the nominee just like the rest of the chosen not by us; but the political. None of them are worth spit. I want a real conservative and these people are not. Romney is also supported by Soros who is an enemy of the US. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama and Romney ended up being Pres and VP. That, of course would doom us. The current politicians aren’t thinking about the good only about destruction and until we quit yammering and find ourselves real conservatives our country and its people . will be lost. People like you who really believe voting for one of the current Republicans just because they are better than Obama; believe me thye are not. That is going backasswards.

Do you know what a discussion is? It is I say something and then the other person responds with a comment. Intelligent people don’t typically resort to sarcasm. I am just saying that turning this country around is not going to happen in one election if ever. Frankly, i believe it is too far gone now. Just too many people who are just out for what they can get.
People here gripe constantly about Romney, as far as I can see he is far above Obama. But that isn’t saying much. He has some good conservative people supporting him.
Crying in your beer at this point is futile.
We put the New World Order people the Bushs in 2 times. What does that show you about GOP people. I just think at this point, take what we have and work with it instead of trying to constantly tearing it down. I don’t see how it is helping things.
So you don’t get whoever you wanted. Well gee whiz. I so sorry. But I can tell you one thing. If Obama gets in there again, there is absolutely no turning back. This country will collapse financially and it is really hanging by a thread right now.
Thanks for your time

Obama loves the way you think. There is no love for romney in the soros camp. Media matters is attacking him already, have you noticed?

Made your point 3 times I see. Yes, believe it or not, this may have gone to far to come back; but putting Romney in is the same as keeping Obama in so what’s your point?

Also, you should question what a discussion is. Your posts are like lectures to people who disagree with you.
