You have to see if Romney shifts further leftwards after winning the nomination and who he picks for VP. That will tell us if the Etch-a-sketch moment was actually the truth accidently slipping out or not.

Maybe Romney will surprise us and not be a bad President. I doubt it very much, but now that he is almost certainly the nominee, it is our only hope for the next four years.

By the way, I actually did have a bad dream last night after Romney won WI. I dreamed he picked a liberal for Vice President and all the establishment GOP types were preaching to us how we needed to “get behind” him. Why couldn’t I just be running from a maniac with a chainsaw like in most nightmares?

Well I had high hopes for GW when he was running in 2000 and was bitterly disappointed in him once he got in office (except for the way he handled 9/11). Maybe my low expectations for Romney will be proved wrong as well. I can only hope.

As a resident of Massachusetts, I can tell you that I was not impressed with Romney at all when he was governor and look what he left us with - a flawed health care plan and Patrick Deval (Obama-lite).
