I wonder if he could tell us what, specifically, is "unprecedented" about the supreme court overturning a law passed by our "democratically elected congress".

ALL federal laws, by definition, have been passed by a majority of a democratically elected congress; otherwise they wouldn't BE laws. And I KNOW the supreme court has overturned at least one federal law at some point in the past...
