Let’s agree to disagree.

I want Obama sent packing in November. That’s my goal. Period.

No need to discuss further.

Thx.

How can any conservative principle allow Obama another four years?

We are beyond any lofty, philosophical debates. Its gonna be Obama or the Repub nominee.

Take your pick. You are either for Obama or against him.

If you can’t support his opponent, don’t try to make yourself out as any kind of conservative. Just admit your a zealot and be done with it.

So, do you have any principles left that are not subject to sacrifice on the altar of perceived political expediency?

Hey Tom,

The fact that you are running for President as a no name third party candidate, wouldn't have anything to do with your sacrificial principles, eehhh?

Don't talk to me about principles, hypocrite, and what I said still holds, when the shooting starts, get to the other side because you won't be welcome in my foxhole.

First, Obama isn’t simply the most liberal president, he’s the most dangerous. Second, Romney is not the most liberal governor ever, and it seems ridiculous to make that claim. Finally, the gap between what America will look like under Romney and what it will look like under Obama is about like the distance from here to the moon.

‘We could unite around Romney. He stands a decent chance of beating Obama. But, then, what’s the point?’

the point is to get rid of obozo and all his thugs/agenda and win the war against his ‘fundamentally changing America’ into a third world country and a islamofascist country!
We need to remove the puppet first, dealing the masters behind the puppet a big blow, then work on removing the power behind the puppet.

We are NOT for romney, but seriously he is not anti-American, not the ‘bowing to Saudy king’ kind, not a muslim, not American-hater, not Jihadist-lover, more subject to influence by a conservative congress and vigilante people.

With obozo, there is NO HOPE!
With any other there is hope!
Do not give up hope!

It seems many here are drinking the santorum ‘nectar’ loaded with big labor unions and big ‘compassionate gov’ and a heavy dose of perceived ‘sainthood’!

Romney is not the most liberal governor ever, and it seems ridiculous to make that claim.

Really? Name one other governor in the history of the United States who implemented socialized medicine, complete with $50 co-pay taxpayer-funded abortions, instituted "gay" "marriage," completely homosexualized state government and the public schools, and banned scary looking guns.

Just one name and I'll retract my claim.

If you can't come up with one though, I'll be watching for your admission that I'm correct.

I have been reading countless opinions from some of the most intelligent political analysts in the country and they all say the same thing.

If we keep delaying this, it sends out a message that our side is unstable, undecided and completely lacks unity.

The General public pays very little attention to politics, but they do note that this Republican food fight is starting to effect the outcome. We are creating a strong image of weakness to the voters. The behavior of the malcontents among the base is creating the image to the rest of the voting world, that this ideology is the cause of our own failure.

We really can't afford to let this drag on much further if we hope to win the country back. And the general public is too far gone and ignorant to even understand what is at stake. They will easily vote Obama back in, like they voted for him in the first place.

I’m running because of the my principles. My principles are not dependent on me running. And I have a long political track record to back that up.

I’m with you. I hate even thinking about it,

Me too, but I get more sick thinking about another 4 years of obama and his crew.

If the bamster gets re-elected then SCOTUS ends up being at least 6-3 if not 7-2 super-liberal and the Constitution and the Country is finished.

I'm 70 years old and have enough money that no matter what this halfrican, communist, mooselimb, prick does, he can't effect me, all that much.

I can leave the US and never look back, except my kids and grandkids, would still be here.

From just a selfish point of view, I don't care, but there are others that follow and someone needs to care about them.

The best to be said about about Romney is that he would merely be a more effective advocate for the Oligarchy than the present advocate has been.

......meaning Flyover Country will only be more thoroughly shafted than Obama’s so far been able to do.

Think effective RomneyCare implementation, “immigrration reform”, and “ carbon credits”......for starters.

No thanks GOP-e......

does it matter who owns the collapse? Once it collaspses, we all fall with it.....

Removing the agent of the collapse is much better than allowing it to collapse!

We seem to be on the same side often, but I’m respectfully not sure I agree.

Any publicity is good publicity, as long as we (all) start to think how despite honorable differences based on deeply held convictions - we can once the time comes - shake hands and turn our attention to the real adversary.

Look at how fascinated the average Jane and Joe in America are with shows like “Survivor” where contestants are one by one voted off the island.

I see the GOP field as a sort of long-running Survivor episode.

The longer the focus is on the contest, the less Obama has a monopoly on the message, and the less time the left has to slime our eventual nominee.

It’s all good.

Let me translate that out of Romney Republican-speak:

"Support a socialist or you're not a conservative."

LOL...hilarious.

Why do you think anyone is going to take you seriously?

4 more years of obozo, there will be no scratch left to reset with!

With the dump-down Americans, the ‘give-me’ obots, and the gung-ho ‘conservative’, we will probably live miserably ever after as slaves to the tyrant you allow to keep the rein!

The collapse is inevitable with the imposition of universal suffrage, there was no Right to vote in the Constitution for a REASON

The Founders warned against enfranchising all, the Washingtonians didn’t listen.

The sooner the collapse happens, the sooner we can pick up the pieces and keep morons from the ballot box again.

Benjamin Franklin: When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers: We are a Republican Government, Real liberty is never found in despotism or in the extremes of democracy...it has been observed that a pure democracy if it were practicable would be the most perfect government. Experience has proved that no position is more false than this. The ancient democracies in which the people themselves deliberated never possessed one good feature of government. Their very character was tyranny; their figure deformity.

John Adams: Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.

Thomas Jefferson: A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other 49%.

James Madison: Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death.

John Quincy Adams: The experience of all former ages had shown that of all human governments, democracy was the most unstable, fluctuating and short-lived.

Thomas Jefferson: The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

Benjamin Franklin (maybe): Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

James Madison: Democracy was the right of the people to choose their own tyrant.

John Adams: That the desires of the majority of the people are often for injustice and inhumanity against the minority, is demonstrated by every page of the history of the world.

Thomas Jefferson: All, too, will bear in mind this sacred principle, that through the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will, to be rightful, must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal laws must protect, and to violate would be oppression.

John Witherspoon: Pure democracy cannot subsist long nor be carried far into the departments of state - it is very subject to caprice and the madness of popular rage.

James Madison: We may define a republic to be - a government which derives all its powers directly or indirectly from the great body of the people, and is administered by persons holding their offices during pleasure for a limited period, or during good behavior. It is essential to such a government that it be derived from the great body of the society, not from an inconsiderable proportion or a favored class of it: otherwise a handful of tyrannical nobles, exercising their oppressions by a delegation of their powers, might aspire to the rank of republicans and claim for their government the honorable title of republic.

John Marshall: Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.

Oscar Wilde: Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.

Winston Churchill: The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.

Sydney J Harris: Democracy is the only system that persists in asking the powers that be whether they are the powers that ought to be.

G. K., Chesterton: Democracy means government by the uneducated, while aristocracy means government by the badly educated.

George Bernard Shaw: Democracy substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few.

Dr Laurence J Peter: Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.

Alan Coren: Democracy consists of choosing your dictators after they’ve told you what you think it is you want to hear.

Karl Marx: Democracy is the road to socialism.

I’m only 54, and I really don’t plan on leaving the country, no matter what happens. But we are presently headed down a very dark path, led by Obama, and especially by the people surrounding him whose intentions and ambitions are not similarly limited by Obama’s obsessive self-adoration.

Let me translate your position:

Allow Obama to be re-elected or your not a conservative.

Good luck with that.

I’ve said my piece EV, I’ll leave you alone now. We beat this to death on the other thread.
