There is still a good possibility that the debate could happen even if Romney decides not to attend, Munisteri said.

"I am disappointed that Gov. Romney has not yet committed to attending an official Republican Party of Texas event," Munisteri said in a statement. "We are the largest Republican state in the nation. Texas Republicans have contributed over $40 million to the Republican National Committee over the last eight years and have given millions of dollars to numerous national candidates including Gov. Romney."

He said he will urge the executive committee meeting this weekend to pass a resolution urging Romney to participate in a debate." Source

Texas' GOP Primary will be held May 29.

Amen! would bet that Newt and Perry share the same views on Romney:) Chuck Norris should be helping Newt in Texas too.
