Sarah Palin was right about death panels
American Thinker ^ | 03/28/2012 | Ethel C. Fenig

They laughed when Sarah Palin (R) announced that Obamacare would save money with death panels denying care to the elderly, the extremely ill. Well the elderly and their families are not laughing in not so merry old England, home of government run socialized medicine, the National Health Service, where death panels are...denying care to the elderly.

According to The Telegraph:

______________________

A lack of treatment or insufficient treatment is contributing to 14,000 deaths a year in people over the age of 75, Macmillan Cancer Support has found, in what it called an 'unacceptable act of discrimination'.

Deaths from cancer are reducing in most age groups but at a slower rate in those aged 74 to 84 and are increasing in people aged 85 and over, the report said.

The report, The Age Old Excuse: the under treatment of older cancer patients, said treatment options are too often recommended on the basis of age rather than how fit the patient is.

Professor Riccardo Audisio, Consultant Surgical Oncologist at St Helens Hospital, said: "It is despicable to neglect, not to offer, not to even go near to the best treatment option only on the simple basis of the patient's age.

"This has been a horrible mistake that, particularly in the UK, we have suffered from."

And compared to greedy, profit driven, expensive American medicine that President Barack Hussein Obama (D) and his acolytes decry and the selfish Palinites support, According to research published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, there would be 14,000 fewer deaths from cancer in those aged over 75 per year if if mortality rates from cancer matched those in America.

It’s getting to where you can’t get treated any more without insurance. With Obamacare which is not insurance; it could be a death sentence for many people.

these people should be sued.

It’s not just cancer treatments - they can refuse something as simple as a hip replacement - meaning an elderly person live out their life in pain akin to torture. Liberals are evil in self-acclaimed grandiosity. It’s NOT the perception - it’s the reality...

After working overseas the past 26+ years and coming home now, we are finding that few doctors will see us because we are Medicare age. They want no more Medicare patients...and who could blame them?

I am praying for a brokered convention and Sarah as the nominee. I still say that Obama would soil his pants if she was the Republican nominee.

My mother was just telling me about her pastors wife yesterday who was diagnosed with an extremely rare blood disease. Currently, a weekly treatment which consists of some sort of infusion into her blood costs $23,000 each time. Insurance is paying for it which I find astounding.

Does anyone really believe that the government is going to foot that kind of bill for a person like her, who is evidently about 4 in 1 million? She would be considered too rare and expensive a case to be subsidized.

What needs reformed is why the treatment cost is $23K.

Well, sure I agree on that but now we’re getting into tort reform which is another issue for another day.

The point is, the insurance is currently covering it. For how long and is there a cap, I don’t know. For now she, the doctor and the insurance company are making that decision. She isn’t that old... 40’s and it is not fatal if treated. What I know for sure is that the government making that decision would be a death sentence.

When you are no longer of use to the regime, and if you are not connected to someone of great use to the regime, what would you expect? Useless eaters cannot be tolerated.

This already is happening in Norway when a man in his late 20’s was denied cancer treatment because it was too expensive.
