The story is running out of steam. My prediction is that most of the story will be dissolved by Friday. Starting next week....something new and unrelated to the Martin episode. There will be a court case against the Latino guy, but I doubt that you can convince an entire jury of going against the guy.....so a hung jury is predictable, maybe twice over. The Fed attempt at a hate-crime episode? It has to stand in front of a jury and I doubt that it can be accomplished. Even a civil case by the family....may not be winnable.
There won’t be any trial, except if Zimmerman decides to file civil actions for defamation. The facts are too clear, and no prosecutor is going to risk taking the absolute loser of a case, and well, losing it...
Do they have to get in front of a jury? The government can sit down with him and say we’re going after you for this and this unless you plead to that. Then it becomes a game of chicken.
