Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was a distant third...
How many times have we heard this? It sounds like a broken record. And yet he stays, siphoning off votes from Santorum.

Yes! On to Wisconsin! He’s going to have a toughter road up there because Romney is currently in the lead.

Gingrich is there for his ego. If he withdraws they’d stop talking about him like they don’t talk anymore about Bachman, Cain, and Perry.
He siphoned off enough votes that stopped Santorum from derailing Romney’s candidacy in MI (where Romney won by 3% of the vote and Gingrich got 7%) and again in OH where Romney won by less than 1% of the vote and Gingrich siphoned off nearly 14% of the vote. His “southern strategy” has been reduced to dust and he now still continues to be in the race. On Super Tuesday night Carl Cameron of FoxNews reported that Team Romney was simply “happy” to see Gingrich continue in the race. Now we all know why.
Go Santorum Go! He’s been outspent 20 to 1 in some cases, and conservative voters are flocking to him in droves and most important Gallup shows him beating Obama. (Psst. Don’t tell that to the Newties!)

NICE job, Rick! Right now 49% with 52% of the votes counted.
I'd call that VICTORY!!

unfortunately, Gingrich did so badly he didn’t keep ROmney below 25%, so Romney will get delegates.
This was one of the states where it was actually HELPFUL to ahve two conservatives, except Gingrich just isn’t getting enough support anymore.
To: Pinkbell
Open primary where Dems can support their loser ?

This was one of the states where it was actually HELPFUL to ahve two conservatives I thought if the winner got more than 50%, the candidate got all the delegates. If so, this is situation where Newt helped Romney gain delegates.

The margin of Santorum’s win is certainly not going to sit well with some of the faux Gingrich, closet Romney supporters here!

I think it is time for Rick to offer the bottom of the ticket to Newt and I think Newt should be big enough man to accept.
I also think it is time for Fox News, Drudge Report and the Party Establishment to start telling Romney to step aside for the good of the party.

Looks like he's going to thump Romney worse in LA than Romney did him in IL, but that doesn't matter does it? Just the wacky South that must vote Republican anyway. As they will say on Fox, nothing to see here, move along.
