My research into producer "Chips" Moman, and songwriters Wayne Carson, Mark James, Tony Joe White and Eddie Rabbit is going to take another week's worth of research. What these men did in Memphis in the late Sixties and Seventies laid the groundwork for the Hot Country format that would blossom in the late Eighties. I hope to have the first installment ready for next week.
