Lived in Denver for about eight years back in the late 1960's thru mid 1970's. Over New Years '71-'72 I flew out to San Fran to spend a few days with an old Marine buddy I hadn't seen in several years. He had a nice place in Sausalito and being straight had more than his fair share of lovely young lady friends ... we were both bachelors so it was an eventful few days. My point to this overly long story was when I said I was from Denver the people I met seemed genuinely impressed. Now understand if you live in the Bay area, especially Sausalito and Tiburon, it's easy to be a little arrogant. Anyway, it occurred to me that had I said I was from Omaha, or KC, (both nice cities) I'm sure I wouldn't have had the same response. What's more, one of the young ladies (a flight attendant) stopped over in Denver about a month later and we had a nice evening together.

My daughter’s job took her there for 5 years and she loved it. I visited and was very impressed.
A beautiful city in a beautiful state.
