Looking at a recent BBC article about Mohammed Merah
And Merah's lawyer, Christian Etelin, told the AP news agency his client had been in jail in France from December 2007 to September 2009 for a mugging offence.
Mr Etelin said those experiences could have "provoked hate for the justice system" and "laid the groundwork from which he threw himself into this religious fanaticism".
Afghan officials told the BBC he had been jailed in Kandahar for planting bombs in 2007, but escaped in a Taliban-led break-out in 2008.
At least, by jumping out the window in a hail of bullets, he saved the world from a media frenzy and along, drawn-out trial.

re: the overlapping time frame of incarcerations . . .The BBC article does add
'Other Afghan sources cast doubt on the claims,'
Speaking of incarcerations . . .with 15 arrests - one would think the msm would request & use one of the more current mug shots for their reports on Muhammed Murah.
Instead you see the image of this murderer smiling from a car. In many of the images posted currently online, his body is jutting out of the car window with his arms triumphantly waving in the air.
Similar issues surfaced on another thread regarding Trayvon Martin/Zimmerman case in Florida - as described in The Examiner and posted in a thread here on FreeRepublic this morning.
The msm is pushing an image of a baby faced young teen instead of a more recent image of the 6'2 football player he became.
Yet, the msm continues to wonder why their journalistic integrity is in question.
