It should be remembered that when the Dutch settled South Africa there were NO BLACKS in that area at that time. They were still far to the north.
Only a few Hottentots and bushmen were in the area. Blacks did not really start flooding SA until Shaka’s impis began to push neighboring tribesmen out.
