How much do you have to shoot a kid in Florida before you run afoul of the law?

You would have to shoot him after he is no longer a threat to you.

The media is assuming that because Trayvon Martin was 17 and had no obvious weapon, that he could not have been a threat.

That Zimmerman was bleeding from the face and the back of the head shows that Trayvon was a threat.

What is being debated is who started the physical altercation?

Both Martin and Zimmerman had a legal right to be where the altercation took place.

That's all subjective. We don't know if that blood on Mr.Zimmerman's face and back is from Mr. Martin. We don't know all the details. Did the police conduct a investigation with photos of Mr. Zimmerman. Did the EMT treat Mr. Zimmerman.

Simply saying that because 'blood' was on Mr. Zimmerman proved that Mr. Martin was a treat; it proves nothing. Only that 'blood' was on him.

“That Zimmerman was bleeding from the face and the back of the head shows that Trayvon was a threat.”

When did Trayvon lose HIS right to defend himself against some self appointed neighborhood watch zealot? According to neighbors, he would circle the block for hours “patrolling”. Police say he called 911 something like 30 times a few nights.
And when on the line with police,, he disregarded instructions to stop following him. He exits his car and starts a confrontation.
He was the aggressor.

Futhermore, the kid doesnt seem to have any shady background that ive seen.
The kid walking down the sidewalk clearly had a right to defend himself against this menace. And for icing on the cake,, how about that muttering about how they always get away woth it)

The best to say about Zimmerman is that he was a cop wannabe goober who was trying to be a hero. Now he gets the other sode of the cop thing. One bad judgement in the dark, and they can face years in prison.

Zimmerman chased the kid down... had the kid shot Zimmerman, stand your ground would have applied perfectly.

Let me get this straight....

You are arguing that Martin was the threat to Zimmerman...in spite of the fact that Zimmerman is on tape stating that he was following the kid...that he continued to follow him after he was told not to...that he is on tape complaining that "they always get away" (who are 'they'...more 17 year old black kids?)...and that it was Zimmerman who had the gun.

Do I have it right?

I am absolutely sure that the kid's race has nothing to do with your truly idiotic premise.
