This was the agenda all along.

The problem they proposed to solve was how to create a socialist world government.

The answer was to create a global crisis requiring a global dictatorship and, Oila! AGW/Climate Chanee was born.

Doesn't sound very scientific.

To be effective, a new set of institutions would have to be imbued with heavy-handed, transnational enforcement powers.

Pump up the U. N.

Give it a rest, already!

Nobody except Algore and AlecBaldwin still believes in Global Warming.

Scientific American USED to be an excellent mag. that explained complex subjects to the general public.

Now it’s a swill mag.

“Scientific American is considering renaming the magazine to “Totalitarian World Government”

So true. I remember devouring SA (those articles which I could comprehend) as a kid and reading those articles i could understand a dozen times. My Dad worked as a pharmaceutical chemist and subscribed. It has taken decades, but I started noticing it a while ago. The magazine has gone from a paragon of scientific investigation to the absolute epitome of egghead leftist advocacy.

This needs to be understood. Nations are God and Nature's way of weeding out bad political ideas by allowing people in neighboring countries to see what works and what doesn't work around them. Without that dynamic, our race could go extinct within two or three generations.

The communist system in Russia fell precisely because the commie bosses themselves were able to get to European shopping malls and districts (Koeln, Marrienplatze etc.) and see ordinary middle-class people buying things which even the rulers of the commie state could not own. WITHOUT that capability, the Russian people might in fact have simply all perished without ever even being able to figure out what the **** had gone wrong.

World government would be the greatest disaster ever visited upon the human race. A thermonuclear war would be better.

We control life, Winston, at all its levels. You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us. But we create human nature. Men are infinitely malleable."

Schizophrenic American: the magazine dedicated to double think and the new world order, picking up the banner from Technocracy and striving for one world government representing all the right ideas with none of that messy voting stuff. We know best so just submit to your betters.

To think I subscribed to this rag for twenty years. When Michael(?)Rennie took over, the leftward lean became a left 90 degree turn toward socialism. It was once a pretty informative magazine now it’s just propaganda.

Note to Global Warming Cultists: You have lost the war… it is over fools, you are not going to force people to pay taxes on an insane hoax… You can yell, scream, jump up and down all what you want but it is not going to happen. In the meanwhile I am enjoying your misery.

Unfortunately, far more is needed. To be effective, a new set of institutions would have to be imbued with heavy-handed, transnational enforcement powers.

Make no mistake, this evil human, if he had the power, would end up ordering the murder of 100's of millions of fellow humans. He would feel no guilt.

This evil human is the product of the left. He and millions of others on the left are godless demons who live to destroy.

Someday blow-back will come to them all. May none of them be shown any mercy.

It’s the social engineering that’s the killer. Moon shots and Manhattan Projects are child’s play compared to needed changes in the way we behave.

Social engineering was a killer for Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Hitler, and assorted other dictators, too. They had to kill millions and millions of people to enforce their perverse visions of the future.

I think we can probably cross anthropogenic global warning off the list of live threats, though there’s plenty of inhumane legislation still on the books in countries the world over. Some of that may never go away: money is to government as heroin to addicts.

I have a hunch the Marxists have learned their lessons from the failure of this scheme. The first lesson, of course, is to cook up a fake impending disaster very few people can understand. Lots of people understand carbon dioxide. It’s not a topic of exotic science, but a naturally occurring chemical found everywhere. So-called “climate science” was too accessible, too readily comprehensible by too many people. If you’re going to fake data, you need to do two things: 1.) do it persuasively, and 2.) do it with data people can’t question and examine themselves. They should never have let damning correspondence be exposed.

They’ll probably cook up a much more exotic disaster next time. Instead of terrible effects over decades, it will require a concerted global response within a year or two. Maybe a rapidly approaching imaginary asteroid will do the trick, and we’ll need to spend trillions to disintegrate it with nuclear weapons. Maybe an imaginary disease will break out, and the only way to save our species will be to halt all travel immediately, shut down the internet, cancel elections, and pour trillions into innoculation. Maybe... Well, I’m no science fiction writer, but I’m sure they’ll come up with something horrible that will happen in very short order if drastic measures aren’t taken.

Whatever it’ll be, the smartest Marxists in the world are already working on it.
