Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but Rush seemed to think it left Obama looking pretty craven and dishonest--as if we needed any further evidence.

Probably the fact that it appeared in the WaPo might indicate that the press may think it needs to start to actually report things, especially the truth, when it comes to BHO.

I read it when it was published in the WP yesterday. It was a lengthy article. Rush can't figure out why it was released and that the NYT will be doing an article on it as well.
It was fairly obvious to me why the liberal MSM is doing it. They are trying to sow seeds of discord among Reps, especially between the GOP and the Tea Party. Boehner was prepared to stab the Tea Party congressmen in the back and raise taxes. It showed how craven and corrupt the GOP House leadership is and that they can't be trusted to do the right thing. Instead, it is business as usual.
Articles like this are meant to dispirit the Tea Party movement, which worked long and hard in the 2010 midterms to toss the Dems out. Now we learn that John (Benedict Arnold) Boehener still doesn't get it and will not fight for TP basis principles.

I heard him talking about this, too. He said he is going to try and get to the bottom of “why” they are publishing a story on this at this “particular” time - and on the front page above the fold, front and center, too, He said that the New York Times is supposed to be coming out with their own article on this also.
Verrrrrrry interesting.

Can someone show me one occasion where Obama actually sat with others and created a solution?
For example, healthcare was done by Pelosi and Reid without Obama.

Alternatively, it could be that Obama, reading the real mood of the electorate, and not the corrupt MSMs version, realizes that he needs to politically cut a significant deal with Republicans for campaign purposes.
Obama needs a political life jacket. He needs something for political cover so he may just cut a deal with Republicans that will anger his base but make Independents happy to see such a move. The ComPost and NYTimes are merely paving the way and preparing their readers for incoming.

If you read this article it shows that the dems actually thought Boehner with Cantor had beat Obama until the idiots in the Gang of Six cut Boehner’s knees out from under him by coming out with a rogue plan without consulting the leadership.
Who would want any of those jobs?

That’s not news re: Obama. I suppose it isn’t news either that Boehner and Coburn were working more with Obama and the Democrats than the GOP and the tea party base.

Zero wanted the talks to fail; he wanted the downgrade. Our stellar AAA credit rating is just one of many things he and his henchmen have undermined in order to bring about a total Cloward-Piven economic collapse.

I finall got a a moment to read the article. I noted this from the piece "For years, Democrats have mocked the Republican argument that tax cuts pay for themselves by boosting the economy, an assertion for which evidence is scant. Many independent budget experts say the effect, if it exists, would be almost impossible to measure and useless in crafting a budget. Fiscal snake oil, some Democrats say." --- Uhhh, yeah, you only have it working under Coolidge, JFK, Reagan and W. Bush, until the Clinton sub prime mess hit and collapsed the economy. So how it is impossible to measure? You cut marginal tax rates and every time you do the economy soars. But that's "scant" evidence. You have more evidence supply side works than you do Keynesian economics works by far.
