Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission members will be discussing and voting on a possible name change at Tuesday's meeting.
The proposal suggests that the Little Rock National Airport be renamed the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in honor of President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
According to the drafted resolution, the name change will celebrate the Clinton Family because they have "dedicated their lives to the service of not only the City of Little Rock, but also to the State of Arkansas, the United States and the world as a whole."
Also, in a draft press release we received, commissioners believe that "it is logical for the renaming to coincide with the airport renovation, a major, multi-million dollar project" that is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.
The commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20. If the proposal is approved the airport staff will begin the renaming process with FAA.

The Clinton’s don’t spend their holidays in Arkansas. They spend their time in Hollywood. Let’s change LAX to Bill and Hilary Clinton airport and let us here in Little Rock rejoice that they’re finally gone. Danny

Share | FlagWell why don’t ya just name every freakin airport in the state after them, and then you can start on the state capitol and then all of the streets in Little Rock, but why stop there why not go for the gold, the whole ball of wax, the entire enchilada, rename the entire state of Arkansas and everything in it after Bill and Hillary Clinton the Buffoons of Washington.
