(Reuters) - Convicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich surrendered at a Colorado prison on Thursday to begin serving a 14-year sentence on corruption charges, with TV news cameras tracking his every step.

News cameras followed the former governor being driven from Denver's airport and walking into the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood, about 15 miles southwest of Denver, where he has been assigned inmate number 40892-424. He wore jeans, a navy sports coat and carried a small backpack.

This lunatic never shuts up.

Even on his way to jail, he’s eagerly trying to meet /get face time with news media.

No shame, not one shred of contrition!

What an a-hole.

Remember what happened to the Friend of Bill Clinton? the judge died in prison...was it a heart attack? geez his names escapes me..McClellan? I always wondered how the Clintons got away with so many charges and how so many of their associates ended up dead or in prison.
Blago has left a list of names or info to be opened in the event of his death..at least I would think he was smart enough to do that

I think it’s a wonder that the guy’s still alive. I would have thought he’d had had a freak accident by now.

“’Surrenders’ LOL makes me laugh. As if the POS had a choice.”

Haha . . . better to “surrender” than face a SWAT team coming to extricate him from his home.
