The Consumer Electronics Association is gearing up for another round of fighting with the state of California over energy regulations for consumer electronics. The group came out strongly against a new round of regulatory standards.
"California should not distinguish itself as the enemy of innovation. We continue to be concerned about how regulations are being justified and supported by the California Energy Commission, Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA, said as part of the announcement.

So... Any bets on when manufacturers and retailers are going to just tell California... No, I’m not going to follow your extremist rules anymore and NO I’m not going to sell my latest consumer goods to your residents either. And when your residents complain to me about it, I’ll just forward them to you, (Politicians and Bureaucrats), to deal with.
Well... Any bets?... (Crickets), Yeah me neither, the manufacturers will just roll over again.
This association should contact each & every group, association, trade organization, etc., and ask them to boycott holding any of their meetings or conventions within the boundaries of California.
IF these consumer groups, trade groups, etc, shut off the money spigot created from hundreds of people attending such conventions, and that money and the attendees go elsewhere, perhaps the loss of income will get the attention of the fools in California.
