You need to re-label that stuff. Real Carolina barbeque sauce wouldn’t be caught dead with ketchup or tomato sauce in it.

I think you got that recipe from some pretenders over around Lexington that don’t know any better.

IIRC, Carolina is vinegar based while Texas tends to be tomato based.

Kenny Bolick says Eastern North Carolina specializes in a vinegar based BBQ. . .Central and Western North Carolina is known for its tomato-based recipe. Kenny says he can go both ways!! mmmmm good. That Kenny Bolick. . .he don’t know shoes. . .but he sure knows BBQ! Kenny says BBQ done right just falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. . .you don’t even need to chew. . which is good for Kenny. . .I mean, him havin only 3 teeth and all. . .
