SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico The plodding Republican presidential nomination fight is grinding forward toward Puerto Rico and a two-man race, with Rick Santorum ascendant and Mitt Romney vanquished in the Deep South.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, the former Georgia lawmaker whose Southern strategy stalled, was all but relegated to an asterisk in the contest even as he vowed to stay in it.
Now is the time to pull together, Santorum declared to conservatives in Lafayette, La., after winning Tuesdays primaries in Alabama and Mississippi, urging the partys faithful to unite behind him to beat Romney. We are campaigning everywhere there are delegates because we are going to win this nomination before the convention.

Thank you for your insight.
In a tenth ammendment America, all the states would be freer than they are now, and no one can say boo about Puerto Rico’s language requirement except Puerto Ricans.
We stepped on their fine crystal table ware narrative, and broke it into a million pieces. How uncouth of those grassroots GOP savages! My! Lovey dear!!!
Yep.
Romney in the Whitehouse = No significant change
Santorum in the Whitehouse = No significant change
At this point I hope Newt stays in it and lets go to a brokered convention and let the delegates fall where they may. In between it will be fun watching Tokyo and Kraut have daily strokes over Newt staying in.
That is absurd. Gingrich has a 90% lifetime ACU rating while Santorum has an 88% lifetime rating. Both have flaws but both are conservative. But, only Santorum has a chance to beat Romney.
Really? There isn't a candidate that can be trusted more to change the direction of the judiciary than Rick Santorum. Roe vs. Wade will be history if Santorum gets the chance to nominate enough Supreme Court justices.
He will stop marriage from being redefined nationally. He will reinstate DADT and save our military from becoming infected with leftist activism.
You are only looking at social issues. What good is all that going to do if we are in an economic collapse, nobody has a job, gas is $5 per gallon, the EPA is still destroying our electrical infrastructure and our farmers, the TSA is groping the public at will, and on and on and on.
Rick Santorum is a big government republican who just happens to be agains’t abortion, and gay marriage. He is not going to shrink the size of govt or restore your individual freedoms. You will be very disappointed when he starts cutting deals with the Dems.
Santorum has an 85% lifetime ACU rating rating and I think that is exceedingly kind.
His lifetime rating is 88.1%:

The idea he isn't a conservative is absurd.
There is NO doubt in my mind Santorum will cut taxes, scale regulations and authorize more drilling.
And, he is a big-government Republican that pushed for welfare reform and voted for a balanced budget? Don't think so.
Somehow, he has an 88.1% lifetime rating for the ACU.
