Back in the Clinton years, there were a number of Lefties that thought Clinton was an ass. I thought, here are some people that I can agree with.
Then Clinton left office, and all of a sudden they became the voices of the far Left Democrats.
I’m not saying Drudge has gone that far, but he’s not the guy I thought he was in the 1990s.’
Maher, some of the CNBC, CNN, and MSNBC nitwits come to mind. Wow what a bunch of blithering idiots some of these folks turned out to be.
Both states are delegate apportioned which means even if mittens wins one or both he does not bag all the delegates, but I am sure that is the template the MSM will use
frankly i am close to the point i no longer give a damn.
I am assuming historically Obama gets re-elected and then as a Freeper said yesterday...its on the barricades either figguratively or literally. Because I doubt if four years from now we may even have a Republic left.

I have never felt that Drudge was pushing anybody. I really think that Drudge is probably the most objective site on the web. I really didn't know he was a Romney supporter.
Just because someone is a supporter of someone different than you doesn't make them Mainstream Media or even bad. There are a lot of good people who support Newt Gingrich and Romney. Perhaps they are misguided by your standards but perhaps they think me misguided by their standards. I don't fault people for believing different things than me but I do hope that when I talk to them I can let them in on their error.
I'm not sure any candidate will ever be able to beat the Obama/MSM alliance but I think that Newt is the least likely to win. He will be the best debater, employ the best logic and be able to show great accomplishments. The problem is that the MSM hate him so much that they will deliver salvo after salvo at him and make him look like an idiot. I fully suspect that either Romney or Santorum will be the nominee, I think that either of them could potentially beat Obama but it won't be a cakewalk for either of them. I hope they can raise a billion dollars, it will take all that and more.
Rest assured they’ll be counting votes in MS well into the evening. No way can they call it for Romney based on exit polls. What happened; did Massachusetts residents suddenly relocate to MS over the past few years? Makes no sense. Drudge is trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Drudge has become just another arm of the Romney campaign. It’s embarrasing.
If Romney wins both of these states, this thing is over...
You obviously haven’t read many Drudge headlines over the past few months. Romney is treated with kid gloves, while minor incidences that occur either on the campaign or many years ago are all dug up and plastered as the top headline on Drudge. Drudge is to Mitt what Axelrod is to Obama.
Some of the delegates are apportioned to the top two winners in a district only, so the third place guy gets nothing.
If Romney wins MS, it would mean Rasmussen was right and PPP was wrong.
Rasmussen had Alabama much tighter with Romney behind, which could explain why Drudge isn’t boasting about who is in the lead in that one.
If true. I’m feeling very ill right now.
If Romney wins (which I HIGHLY doubt after living in Mississippi for 5 years and knowing that Mississippians HATE Yankees), Gingrich hopefully will drop out and endorse Santorum. Otherwise, a brokered convention will result in a Romney win. If Gingrich drops out after Mississippi, Santorum will win Texas.
“I have never felt that Drudge was pushing anybody. I really think that Drudge is probably the most objective site on the web. I really didn’t know he was a Romney supporter.”
You must not have tuned in the day he had more than a dozen anti-Newt hit pieces on his page.
And not a one about lovely Mitt.
Drudge is just a blogger that post stuff he is interested in, he owes no one anything.
Here's the current Romney picture, just in time for late voters:
JAK is another "i'mnotamormonbut" who defends mormonism on the religion threads. Of course that includes defending the Drudge/Romney alliance.
Say hello to 4 more years.
Texas will be won by whomever the Hispanics decide. Eric Holder has seen to that.
I have sincere doubts that a brokered convention will give the conservatives a candidate they would want.
More likely, they will get a moderate. If not Romney, then Jeb Bush or someone one else approved by the Republican elite.
He owes no one anything and his conservative readers owe him nothing in return. Drudge has a huge readership and like it or not he influences the outcome of elections as much as the MSM does. Unfortunately, he seems he has way more influence in getting Republicans to elect RINOs than getting Reagan Democrats.
Yeah, it turns out a lot of people were just following the latest craze - like hula hoops or pet rocks.
If Gingrich drops out after Mississippi, Santorum will win Texas.
************
If Rick had enough sense to back off ala and Miss- we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Romney would lose- and Newt and Rick live to fight another day.
I saw a lady who is a Kentucky Delegate post on American Spectator that she will vote Mitch McConnell for the nomination at a brokered convention. This is what the country is up against. Ignorant Democrat voters and completely in the tank Republican influence peddlers with no principles, just a desire to belong to a very powerful club.
The only negative Romney headline I can remember Drudge having up this year at all is one mentioning his gaffe about the “very poor,” but WITHIN THE HEADLINE he included the “but” explaining “what Romney really meant.” Drudge is using the Obama campaign media strategy. He simply doesn’t report on Romney at all, lets him vote “present,” except when it’s time for a big orchestrated fanfare like today.
If this is all the news you read, you’d barely have any idea Romney was running a campaign. He just seems to suddenly show up out of nowhere on the day of an election to win big against two guys who have spent a couple weeks fumbling, bumbling and embarrassing themselves with gaffes, dark revelations from their past, and very bad photos.
If Romney wins one or two of these states the whole thing is basically over.
It won’t be because Romney is so great, it will be because the people believe he has the momentum to beat Obozo.
I think any one of them could beat Obama. But, it ain’t up to me only.
I don’t know what has happened to Drudge. He doesn’t even post many derogatory articles about Soetoro anymore. I used to go there several times a day, now barely ever. His site has become boring.
If you don’t get more than 50% you don’t win. Romney can’t pull anywhere near that.
Matt Drudge outed as gay by David Brock and Alec Baldwin, denies it but admits he goes to gay bars:

Well ever since I read that Breitbart said he felt Drudge was in the tank for o b ama in 2008, that sort of did it for me.
“If Gingrich drops out after Mississippi, Santorum will win Texas.”
Gingrich has said several times he’s in it all the way to Tampa.
I couldn’t help noticing that Ron Paul has a considerably higher percentage than either Gingrich or Santorum. Conservatives have not been voting in this poll. I can’t remember the last time Paul came in second in the primary (exept Virginia because he was 1 of 2 on the ballot.)
Most homosexuals are for Willard. Why would Drudge be any different?
However--I will support ANYONE who is the Republican nominee. The situation is that desperate. The stakes are that high.
Also, Dick Morris makes sense when he says that the Republicans MUST choose their nominee long before their convention in September in order to have enough time to defeat the Democrat Party Machine.
And ALL Americans of decency and good will must rally around him and get him elected.
Romney is definitely NOT my first choice. But considering the stakes--if he is the Republican nominee--I will work very hard to get him elected.
The future of my children and grandchildren is at stake. The future of the United States is at stake. The future of the American Dream is at stake. ALL that we value and hold dear is at stake.
Note tagline.
I think Drudge is all-in for Romney because Romney is less risky than Santorum and Gingrich. Drudge wants to beat Obama by the most percentage points.
Drudge is the pioneer, that settled into the land of the internet first but still lives in a tent instead of building himself a log cabin. It takes very little ability to operate his site. You just have to spend time browsing stories and link to them. Every now and then you might get an exclusive story from a boyfriend at an MSM network (i.e. Gingrich’s ex-wife, Monica Lewinsky, Satan and Santorum). Someday, Drudge will become obsolete.
I think it's an open primary. In which case all the democRATS and blacks will be voting for romney.
Can you stand four more years of Obama? In four years lets see how you think?
Well said, sir! Or ma’am. Thank you for some common sense.
And as for Obama, he is so far from being unbeatable, it’d ridiculous. I can very easily see him getting his narrow arse handed to him this November. And by a wide margin.
Has either Gov. Romney or Mr. Drudge ever been to Alabama or Mississippi? If so, how can they predict a Romney win over Newt?
Aren't two of Mitts operatives now working for Drudge? The elites are trying to cram Mitt down our throats. I will have the great pleasure of writing in Sarah's name in Nov.
Never again will I vote for Statists. Mitt is a total fraud.
“Also, Dick Morris makes sense when he says that the Republicans MUST choose their nominee long before their convention in September in order to have enough time to defeat the Democrat Party Machine.”
You sure that it’s not the Democrat Party Machine that needs enough time to defeat the Republican Nominee? The sooner they can pick the target, freeze it, and defeat it, the better off Barack and Co. will be. Too bad most Republican voters won’t realize this until after Romney is nominated. “Mitt Romney, you have to nominate him, in order to find out what’s in him”?
Both MS and AL are open. HI is closed. Bummer.

And while so many in the Santorum and Gingrich camps on Free Republic are so damn consumed with throwing grenades at each other, I’ve been trying to warn folks that Romney is polling surprisingly strong in Alabama and Mississippi and could sneak up and win one or both of these Deep South primaries tonight. I’d then get told I don’t know what I’m talking about as the in-fighting continues. Well, reality may rear it’s ugly head tonight and if Romney does win any of the Deep South states, then it’s game over because he’ll finally have a case that he can win in any part of the country and will become the inevitable nominee.
I’m surprised he’s giving out the network exit results. I thought a few years ago it was agreed that no one would talk about exit poll results (as far as winners and losers) until the polls closed.
Drudge has no rules. For all we know he is making the entire thing up, to influence people in the final hours of voting. Drudge is out of control; there is no journalistic integrity remaining. Much of the “conservative” media has become just like the MSM when it comes to attempting to dictate outcomes.
I do not get this convention crap, whoever walks into the convention with the biggest number will win. Tell me when it did not happen.
Looks like Newt is ensuring that Romney will win by splitting the Conservative vote.
Maybe you simply don't understand exit polls? Drudge is simply posting what pretty much every network already has. They ALL already know these 5PM results because the data is shared among them from the same source. The difference is the networks won't generally talk about them - instead they use them to make projections and to show why a candidate won or lost after the fact. Would you prefer going back to the days we were kept in the dark about information the establishment media already has?
I don’t think so. As long as we hold a filabuster in the Senate, we can contain Obama until 2014, retake the House in 2014 (and the Senate too), and win the Presidency in 2016 with a much deeper slate.
Romney will NOT repeal Obamacare, build the Keystone XL pipeline, stop the hemorrhaging at the DOD, or do anything substantive to stop the out of control spending.
