Taliban vows revenge against 'American savages' after US soldier allegedly kills 16 Afghan civilians

KABUL, Afghanistan – The Taliban is vowing revenge against the U.S. after an American soldier allegedly shot and killed 16 Afghan civilians in a Sunday rampage.

In a statement on their website, the militant group promised to "take revenge from the invaders and the savage murderers for every single martyr."

They added "American savages" committed the "blood-soaked and inhumane crime."

"If the perpetrators of this massacre were in fact mentally ill then this testifies to yet another moral transgression by the American military because they are arming lunatics in Afghanistan who turn their weapons against the defenseless Afghans without giving a second thought," the statement said.

Afghan officials reported nine of the 16 victims were children and three were women. They said some of the bodies were also found to be charred.

The veteran American army staff sergeant allegedly left his base in the Panjway district of Kandahar province and walked about a mile to a nearby village, where he went on a house-to-house rampage, methodically shooting Afghan civilians.

Newscore and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

It is time for us to leave. The ‘mission’ has been over for a long time.

Couldn't agree more. No more 'nation-building', especially where 6th century knuckle-dragging muslims are concerned.

—What was the perpetrator’s name? This story feels very odd to me.—

Likewise.

I wonder if we have any muslims in our ranks.

(copied from a post I just submitted)

I would like to make a point - a point that we all know is valid. When it comes to outside forces acting inside Islamic Republics - anything and everything we do is criticized and used to make the “occupier” look bad. I have no idea why this SGT decided to do what he did. The point is, there is a vast amount of violence being committed within the Middle East and Southeast Asia - but it’s only when a US representative (civilian contractor or US military personnel) commits an act of violence does the rest of the world (although we are lead to believe this by the News) cries out and seem to care what happened.

It’s okay if a Moslem kills another Moslem - because we aren’t enlightened enough as non-believers to understand their complex society and belief system.

Look at the 2 articles that I have posted down below. There’s a ton of young and innocent people being killed - where’s the outcry? I don’t care if the youth of Iraq want to jump on the band wagon of being an Emo - or that the Syria regime is about to fall and an Iraq Sheik is helping to fund the violence in that nation - there’s young people trying to live out their life in a Moslem dominated society - just like Afghanistan - and death is a normal thing to them...what suicide bombers? - Car bombs - roadside IED’s — they kill people daily in the M/E and Afghan — so why doesn’t Karzai speak up about the belief system of Islam - where’s the clerics that dominate the society and neighborhoods - why don’t they put a stop to this with a fatwa?

The answer - they don’t care - they don’t care that a US soldier came in and killed a bunch of people - they just want the criticism and the right to b*tch and recruit more people to their cause for control....and that’s what it is all about - control l of society...so int he end - they will use this incident for their own selfish needs - just like their prophet!

Very simple solution. One embellished from that sugested by Mr.Newt. And one modified from what was offered my high school civics class by a ‘Nam Vet 60 + hrs. from the Nam. We ought tell the ruling powers that we are going home. It was a mistake for us to attempt to help the House of Islam. We were wrong to go there-and are leaving. We will NOT leave behind any working/useful— weapons, Material, or housing. We are leaving YOU to clean up your own bloody freaking house. Slay each other to your bloody Moon gods satiation. We do not care. But if even one more American dies we will use whatever Weapons of Mass destruction dropped from the sky or added to the water. To make certain
any Muslim left alive will know that the sword of Allah is Never to be forged again. and they will Know their is a bloody freaking LIE that the end of Islam is and has always been DEATH. And Destruction- and PAIN— and Sorrow—and NOTHING GOOD AT ALL COMES FROM BEING A SLAVE TO ALLAH. And when the last American is away from Afghani soil. One minute after we should signal the USAF And have the sky filled with
Bombers to carpet bomb that bloody sandbox back to AD600.Not one person, donkey, camel,or any living thing left standing.

What was all the BS excuses the White House made for the muslim officer who shot, killed and wounded US soldiers and CIVILIANS at Fort Hood?

Maybe the same people who made excuses for that POS can be asked for their opinion on this situation.

One wonders who is and who isn't pro or anti-American.

I pray for this sgt, his fellow troops, and family.

Methinks you are right. The HMIC will do anything to protect ‘his muslim faith’ from blame.

I too think it’s time for us to remove ourselves from any and ALL arab countries. As we leave, we need to completely destroy any and ALL equipment, including runways built, buildings beyond repair. We are now pouring our military down a sand hole with no end in sight. OH, and we need to pull our troops from Uganda also. Nothing will help that country either. Let these people fend for themselves, as they have for hundreds of years. They don’t need us, nor do they want us there. I even think we need to deport all those muzzies in our public housing in MI.

We shouldn’t have put a boot on the ground, BCW; a waste of American Blood & Treasure. ICBMs were the answer, but I read somewhere here that GWB was “threatened” if he used them. WHAT could they threaten us with?

I think there is a high majority in WASH DC that really think that if we go into a depressed area and re0build it - then attitudes about the US will change. Or that, the elected officials want these events to stay in power. The elitist mindset has always used the common soldier and civilian to prop themselves up to a higher level.

This SGT probably saw everything to dark - from Iraq to Afghan and he did what Hollywood movies like to glorify on the screen to sell tickets...a person from our society - raised with our standards can only take so much...PTSD is going to be a major problem. Death scenes from WW II - be it Europe or Japanese prisoner camps - get close - but only a few select were exposed to that type of brutal behavior - almost every soldier/marine that went out on patrols were exposed to it daily...combat personnel in Iraq were engaged in more firefights and battles than that of the WW II generation...there were no maneuvering of armies that culminated into a specific battle - it was a daily fight every time a patrol went out in Iraq and the same for Afghan...and we are shocked when this happens?

I’m sure the press will drive it into the ground like they do everything else....they are most ignorant of people -

I hope the media knows that if this country ever goes belly up from a revolution from below - they will be the first that are dragged out of their corporate news offices and hung — revolutions don’t like free press — not that we have that any more....
