"I'm really impressed. There must be no one left at Wal-Mart this afternoon."

I don't see how this remark is going to help him. Given that he was wearing a BASS shirt and had gotten the fishing props, he would have been better served if he had said something like "Wow, the lakes must all be empty today."

Instead, he was "impressed" that the 'pervasive' Walmart shopping "activity" was temporarily put on the back burner.

And I don't think Calista shops there....

Just...doesn't...sound...good.

Why...sheesh all this snobbery from FR. Some of you are acting like shopping at Walmart is a bad thing. Many families go shopping on Saturday. Instead they chose to go listen to Newt speak.

I only shop at stores other than Walmart, if Walmart doesn't carry it. Groceries, clothes, everything. I didn't take any offense at newt's remark. I thought it was funny. Not condescending at all.

The Southeast corner of Alabama is all American and a pretty rural area of the country. Fort Rucker is nearby as is the Gulf’s Gold Coast. It is NOT snotty 5th Avenue New York, New York. The All Americans probably took it as he meant it. They spared him an hour or so of their time to listen to him. That was nice of them and he appreciated it.
