General election match up polls are not worth much of anything at this point.

Funny how only the polls that are good for newtie have any meaning for you Newt supporters.

Newt can't win!

The people who like him will vote for him...sure, but those who don't like newt hate him. That's it. His like/dislike poll numbers are 39/61. He's the best known of all candidates, everyone knows him and have made up their minds about him. Those numbers won't change in any significant way because he IS so well known!

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

What I wrote is the truth at this point in time even if it did proclaim Gingrich was leading Obama. As I recall, Newt is only a few points in a poll behind Obama and that poll doesn't mean much of anything like this poll.

You may have noticed Drudge's screaming headline about this poll. Can you guess why? A hint: vote for the "inevitable" nominee Romney so forget about Santorum or Gingrich.

Newt can't win!

Newt will win on Tuesday - Mississippi and Alabama. Count on it.

"Everyone" knows a caricature of Newt.

If "everyone" has made up their minds about him, why has he lead the primary field at least twice?

Notice the unknown Santorum, the nearest thing to generic Republican left, is only even with Obama. Once he's known, once he's been defined, his support will collapse. Democrats knew how to destroy him in PA with the voters who knew him best. His 18-point loss was the worst for an incumbent senator in over a quarter century.
