Obamacare was certainly part of the 2010 “shellacking”, perhaps as the article says, the pivotal issue.
But let’s remember that 2010 was the first opportunity to express our displeasure at a lot of things that had occurred. The bank bailouts, the Detroit bailouts, the “stimulus” were thrown at us all at once, and this is what gave rise to the tea parties. Obamacare was merely salt in the wound that was already festering, due to the perception of an oppressive government run amok.
So I’m not so sure that without Obamacare voters wouldn’t still have had the verve to vote the rats out.
Cap and Trade passed the House but not the Senate. Which one flipped?
