This is where I lost all respect for George W. Bush, watching him do NOTHING as this American citizen was being starved to death and denied her right to religious freedom by the wackos.
I would love to have had him go down there, unannounced, force his way in with some military people, get her the hell out of there, and take her back to safety, perhaps the White House even, and spit in the eye of the scum who were murdering her in a slow, cruel, and painful death.
Sorry, George, you were spineless to let this poor citizen be terrorized and murdered by these filthy, worthless bastards.

Exactly. I still mourn what we as a nation allowed.
And to Jeb Bush, I still haven’t forgotten!

I didn't pay much attention to this case back then. I thought it should have been a private matter. I thought the photos of a distorted Terry were just too horrible to look at and that they were published to garner sympathy for murdering her.
I've always thought that many people who were comatose, terminally ill, seriously injured/impaired and otherwise difficult to deal with for their families, have been offed over the thousands of years of civilization. It's not news to me but sad and so wrong.
Our Lord will sort it out.

I was there when mothers fathers grandparents attended to walk in a bottle of water. Armed forces barred the entrance and arrested these people. I attended her memorial where glen beck and bobbie spoke. No body though. The ex wouldn’t allow it. God rest her soul. I know I will never forget the vigil we held in protest. The whole process was corrupt from judges on down.

And the Pope died a few days later, which was not lost on me. In fact, IIRC, the Pope died earlier and was revived. I was angry about that, because I felt the time of his inevitable death was timed by God to highlight Terry’s death. As it was, it was close.
