I knew about this show a while. It is based on the book Good Christian Bitches. The people behind Melrose Place, Sex In The City and Lipstick Jungle are behind the show. A year ago they hired Leslie Bibb to play the main character and they tried to get it sold to a company. ABC put it as a mi-season replacement this season. Somehow they got Kristin Chenoweth, who went on Fox and Friends to promote the show, to join. She is also presently touring a CD.
Well the show was already attacked by that same group that was upset at ELlen Denegeres doing Jc Penny commercials, One Millions Mom, before it came out on television. They object to a preview they saw and the title Good Christioan Bitches. So ABC was forced to change the name the GCB and a subtitle of Good Christian Belles.
It pokes fun a Christians, Texans, Dalllas, conservatives and people who are in the south. So it was going to be very controversial and now other groups have joined the On Million Moms in boycott.
Show is left wing drivel. Makes the woman out to be womanizers who break their Christian vows. Have sex without protection and cheat on their men among other things Isaw on youtube clips.
New York City Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. is calling for a boycott of a The ABC show because as he says it attacks Christianity.
I hope this show gets canceled.
