In this political environment, I don’t see why anyone would trust all their files to Carbonite (or any online service for that matter) because in the wrong hands, Carbonite could become a WikiLeaks clone. All that blackmail material being stored in one handy massive location. Think I will stick to backing up onto my 4.7 gig DVD’s at a cost of about .25 cents each.

I think it MUST be a terrible temptation for those folks to not do a bit of data-mining with all that data those people JUST HANDED over to their company for safe keeping.
