New Rasmussen Poll- GA: Newt up 10 (Scott in tank for Romney?)
Real Clear Politics ^

Posted on 03/05/2012 2:08:56 PM PST by Windy City Conservative

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Georgia Republican Primary Voters, taken last night, shows Gingrich with 37% of the vote to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s 27%. Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum remains in third place with 18% support, and Texas Congressman Ron Paul runs last with 10%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are still undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS:
All the other polls conducted on March 4, show Newt up +20 in Georgia, but suddenly, Rasmussen finds the need to hurry up and throw together a poll showing Newt only up by +10. Why did Rasmussen bother polling Georgia again, when it is already in the bag for Newt. I think Rasmussen is in the establishment bag.

If you pay attention to what has been happening all along, these polls always tighten the closer it gets.

I have no idea who is in the tank for who, but it is a fact.

I think Rasmussen is in the establishment bag.

If polling is performed to change the numbers then what good is it to watch the polls to see what the standings are when they are untrue?

Anymore it is getting tough to take as truth ANYTHING in politics in this country.

After all we now have a proved by past political agenda a Massachusetts socialist liberal that overnight has turned into a severe conservative running for POTUS.

ALL Santorum voters in Georgia to VOTE for Newt Gingrich

Hear! Hear!

The goal to work for tomorrow is to have Newt win Georgia by MORE THAN the amount that Rotney wins MA.

Here in MA, I'm doing what I can to make the other part of this goal... please consider this in GA!

I really have no idea who is for who. I do think Rassmussen has always been pretty accurate.

Really doesn’t matter though. The ultimate poll is a night’s sleep away.

Then we will know who was closer.

The pollsters seem at many times to be working for the candidate that they feel the most comfortable with. I do believe that the establishmnet has help to build up Rick’s support (media indoctrination) that he is the real conservative to shut down Newt’s chances and 2/knowing between the pick of Rick and Mitt, most voters will feel more at ease with Romney. Imo. Newt is the best person to fight the radical agenda that is heading our way. Romney just wants to be president/he has no polices. What are they? Look how he governed his own state as a governor.

This is good news

If the people who know him best want him, thats good

As opposed to Mitt Romney’s ‘home state’ where he could barely eak out a tie with Santorum after spending millions

They try to be most accurate the last day, that is when it counts. Almost 200000 have already voted. Same in tennessee.

Because gynormous double-digit polling leads in early primaries are susceptible to noise. Look at the trend line. Worrying about nothing...
