The segment began with Gregory introducing this subject by playing a video clip of Limbaugh's comments regarding Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke followed by reading the conservative talk radio host's apology.

After his opening admonishment, Gingrich said, "There is no debate about access to contraception. There is a debate, which Cardinal George of Chicago has pointed out, is a war against the Catholic Church.

You do have this weird situation where President Obama apologizes to Islamic extremists while waging war against the Catholic Church."

"Barack Obama as President," Gingrich continued, "in the most radical anti-religious move made by any president, is trying to coerce the Catholic Church at a time when he's been told by the bishops they would have to give up every single hospital...they would have to give up every single university and college associated with the church, because he is asking them to violate their religious beliefs."

Not surprisingly, Gregory ignored that question and continued with the contraception issue asking, "Can you appreciate the view of those that disagree with you that this is an attack on women's rights? That's their view, reproductive rights, access to contraception, and the extreme that it's some sort of war on women."

Gingrich correctly replied, "Nobody's blocking anyone from having access to contraception. No one. The young lady who testified can get access to contraception. Nobody said she couldn't. The question is should a Catholic institution, or for that matter, the Ohio Christian University which is a Protestant institution, which is a very pro-Life institution, which is now being told it will have to pay for abortion pills.

The same link from above did not format properly. Watch this video, Gregory was seriously outclassed again!

It amazes me that so many refuse to accept that Newt will straighten this mess out.

Newt was great on Meet the Press. Had me laughing as the Ape Man vainly tried to keep him on Ape point!

Wish he had a chance, but don’t think so at this point.

Regardless of what happens this primary season its gratifying to see at least two of the candidates rejecting the pervert media's bogus premises and false choices.

Maybe others will learn, even if Romney doesn't.

It’s all they got. Obama is a commie, partisan POS who can’t run on his radical record. So, all they have is demonize the enemy. Whoever our nominee is, they’d better be prepared to fight hard, take no prisoners and be sure to get a daily anti-obama sound byte on the local evening news. To hell with the MSM. Ignore them and fight through the internet, blogs and talk radio.

Listen to the squealing from the David Gregory ilk...Hey, they got caught trying to pass that Progressive activist off on the nation. Rush called the shot correctly! Ms. Fluke came across sounding like a soiled 'er spoiled irresponsible twit asking the American taxpayer to cover her sorry social habits. You know what Nancy Pelosi, David Axelrod, Obama....enough with your dirty politics. Lets talk about Obama's failures starting with the bailouts.........

or for that matter, why should anyone be forced by government to pay for someone else's contraception. We should have the right to choose to NOT pay for it.

I love it when Newt makes mincemeat out of Baboon Face.

But then is it really fair for Gingrich to engage in a battle of wits with Gregory, since Gregory—clueless leftist twit that he is—is basically disarmed?

Newt Gingrich: "I am astonished at the desperation of the elite media to avoid rising gas prices, to avoid the president's apology to religious fanatics in Afghanistan, to avoid a trillion dollar deficit, to avoid the longest period of unemployment since the Great Depression and to suddenly decide that Rush Limbaugh is the great national crisis of this week."

“After his opening admonishment, Gingrich said, “There is no debate about access to contraception. There is a debate, which Cardinal George of Chicago has pointed out, is a war against the Catholic Church.”

I will take that farther and say that this is actually a war against all conservative/traditional Christianity - Roman Catholic or not. It just so happens that the RCs make a conveinent target for the time being. Next it will be conservative Baptists, etc.

A long held central belief of Roman Catholics is being violated by the “state” (U.S. Government) and it cannot be allowed to continue. IF they can attack the Roman Catholics then the rest of us Christians will be attacked as well eventually. This Baptist stands side by side with Roman Catholics in demanding this assault on religious liberty cease. The “state” (U.S. Government) has no business under the rule of law (U.S. Constitution) to force Christians (of any stripe) to violate their long held religious convictions. The First Ammendment was designed to protect “religion” from the “state.” Also, to ensure that no “state” mandated/financed religious body (AKA Church of England) would be started in the United States as was in England.

This attack on Roman Catholic belief is a direct violation of the 1st Ammendment. It cannot be allowed to be continue unopposed.
