I was going to say "what 3 days?", but I was thinking of Cabela's n Buda and Allen Texas, since the story was out of Ft. Worth, not a Cabela's in PA.
We don't have no steenking 3 day waiting period, not for a shotgun gun, not for a rifle, not even an ugly black semi-auto, and not for a hand gun. Walk in, show your Texas CHL, fill out the Yellow Form, plop down your $$, and take your new weapon home. If you don't have a CHL, you have to wait for the instant background check, which rarely takes very long. That's all assuming you are buying it from a FFL. If not you skip the CHL/Yellow form/Instant check stuff.
Here in WA you get to wait up to 5 buisness days without a
CPL, no wait if you have one.
The counter at Cabelas in Lacey is usually mobbed.
BTW I found two nice shootable Krag carbines on the used rack, probably cut down rifles but a nice little gun nonetheless.
Next purchase will be a nice suppressor for my HK45.
