Does not look like the republican presidential candidates have any coatails. Could be a problem. I can't see Romney standing up and effectively saying 'conservative troops, rally around me.'
I can see the old war horse Gingrich, rallying the GOP voters with his call to join the second conservative revolution led by him.

This is starting to end up as predicted, with Romney gaining momentum, by splitting the base with 3 other candidates. This may wind up like 2008 by the way it is looking, unless a sudden reawakening from the base to pick Newt emerges. But it is now looking like time is running out.
Super Tuesday will reveal the trend for sure.
