For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Not before asking his locals to sit back and give his audience a chance to be heard.....

So of course when I read she was actually a “women’s studies” (rolling eyes) activist and was THIRTY years old (not 18 or 20)....her citing of this “study” (paid for by US no doubt) then made sense.
She is just another cog in the wheel of socialism.

They beat us, time and time again, because WE DO NOT ORGANIZE, and always expect “Someone else!” to do it for us, then lament the inevitable result, later.

I agree. Rush had to make a move here that would allow him to survive AND remain on the air...we need all the conservative radio warriors we can get, warts and all.

Well....let’s put it this way. By issuing that apology, he didn’t give the leftists what they wanted and have been wanting all along....ie his firing or resignation.

I don't have any relations with the media and I know damn well what would embarass me and what doesn't. Obiviously the remarks of someone you never met could embarass you, so you don't know the difference.....Sad that you give others the power over you to embarass you or hurt your little feelings.. I give no one that kind of power over how I feel or what I think.
I see something else coming out of this. Rush will somehow turn this into a bigger deal and we’ll all be laughing about this in a week.
He could have clearly made the point without it, and should have done so.

The only apology I see that Rush SHOULD have made, was that the language he used was not nearly strong enough.
But mere modern English sometimes fails, and we must fall back on weak weasel-words like “slut” or “prostitute”, neither of which fully convey the contemptible behavior we have seen from Sandra Fluke.

I originally thought his use of “slut” was not the best way to address this situation but he just gave the left a victory.
Expect more people pressuring stations to drop him.. advertisers to pull their ads and more of a promise of the “fairness doctrine” to be used as a campaign talking point.
Don’t be naive. If leftists had succeeded in getting Rush off the air, which is exactly what they were (and still are) trying to do....WE would have lost, not Rush. He’s got enough wealth to live out the rest of his life and then some in extreme luxury. It’s no skin off his nose if the leftists run him off...except that his love of country and patriotism would suffer.
He did the right thing here. He’s still got his platform, the leftists have had the wind sucked out of their “let’s destroy rush sails”.... and Rush continues to point out the truth of who and WHAT leftists and Democrats really are.

Your words have captured my thinking on this exactly. We just lost one of our warriors with Andrew Breitbart’s death. We all will want to support Rush as he moves forward with contesting the Progressive rot being promoted in our country. This is an important year in the struggle and we must not lose focus of that.
