I will guarantee you that in this case, like the Frank Lombard case it resembles, there were red flags all over the place, had the adoption agency done its due diligence.

But they didn’t. And it would not surprise me at all to learn that the adoption agency deliberately fast-tracked the process.

Showing the fundies who’s boss is more important to liberals that the life and safety of any child.

I can’t imagine how this man was allowed to adopt these kids ... from another state, on top of that.

I actually didn’t realize single men were even considered as candidates for adoptive parents, except under extraordinary circumstances. But I guess I was wrong. I know married couples (a man and a woman!) who have been jumping through hoops for years trying to adopt, and yet this guy was seemingly able to just call up and order 4 children from out of state?

I think both Ohio and Texas have some explaining to do about their fostercare and adoption programs.
