This guy, Schrag, is the former director of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative here in the Northeast. It's a failed mini cap and trade program that was supposed to make the states that are participating rich by selling carbon credits.
The woman he called lives in Essex which recently dropped out of Agenda 21. I am sure, by his biography he's a full supporter of Agenda 21.

Duh... someone recorded some offhand comment I made in a bar, then stole my cellphone and played back that comment. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

"Schrag denied making the late-night call, which was reported Tuesday by Courant Columnist Kevin Rennie. But Schrag also offered a complicated explanation that leaves a number of questions unanswered including how his voice got onto the voicemail."
How infantile can one be? Making late night, and no doubt (insert drug of choice here)- fueled, crank calls. From your own traceable phone number no less. I'm sure a subpeona of his phone records would reveal a good bit more than crank calls. Ms. Essex should consider pressing forward in that regard.

Schrag, in an interview with Rennie, theorized that someone recorded private remarks he had made in a social setting although he would not say to whom, or when, or in what setting. Then, Schrag added, that recording of his remarks was played by some unknown method in the phone call to David last Thursday, and it somehow registered on the caller ID as coming from his cellphone. Is Schrag so stupid he doesn't know the phone company records would provide an audit trail of his call? Wait. Perhaps he is, considering his incredibly lame fabrication.

“We are calling from the Democratic Electronic Monitoring Service. We understand that you are an emailer with respect to Democratic candidates. We wish you to know that your emails are being observed. Thank you.”...They call this menacing? I’m sorry, the Constitution does not give you the right to be offended nor does it give you the right to infer a threat when there is none.
