Paul has also run advertisements attacking Romney’s key rivals at critical times. He ran hundreds of thousands of dollars in brutally negative ads attacking Gingrich in Iowa. Paul now is using his scarce funds on a television ad attacking Rick Santorum in Michigan, a key state where Paul is a non-factor.

Glad this story is getting traction. I think at first Paul’s strategy was simply to attack all the others so he could do what he always does - finish “second” by simply staying in the longest. Now I think it has morphed into perhaps something else.
But from the start, he’s spent his time in the debates and his TV ad money to attack whoever was threatening Mitt. Period. For whatever reason, it is what it is and that cannot be disputed.
My BIL over the weekend suggested Rand Paul may be in consideration as Romney’s VP pick, so Ron is simply working to insure his son’s future..
I’m disappointed in Paul. Despite being unwilling to vote for him because of his foreign policy views (Israel mainly), I for years respected him for his economic positions and his fight against the debasement of the currency.
I thought he was just a kook but otherwise a well meaning man of integrity. I had no idea he would become Mitt Romney’s bitch. He has tarnished his legacy severely. What was his price?

Yes, the Rand story is what Levin and Rush have said recently, and what some Freepers have said for many weeks. I’m not sure I see that, but for whatever the reason - Paul has deliberately attacked everyone BUT Romney and this has impacted the race regardless of motives.
Simple, Paul is an enemy to conservatives. It sure blows a big hole in the Paul cult’s BS. As if after the repulsive things that crackpot has done and said hasn’t been enough to prove it already.

One or both of them may be where the idea came from. In any event, Paul is serving himself or his family for some reasons, clear or not.
Paul’s job is to suck away as many true conservatives as possible so the RINO wing of the republican party doesn’t have to deal with them during the primaries. This is why they always seem to succeed at running a RINO during the main event. Just ask yourself who would get Paul’s voters among the three remaining candidates and you realize what is happening.

I believe that the three remaining would get very few of Paul’s votes. Paul is not conservative so he attracts leftwing votes from the Rats such as the occupy parasites, dope-using dopes, code-pinko anti-defense/anti-military types; his extremists would return to the likes of the communist or other hate fringe parties, and his conspiracy theory crackpot voters would return to the libertarian party.
