I don’t remember what the maximum donation is that you can make to a candidate’s campaign directly. I think it’s around $3000. I’ve never had the luxury of doing it. >.<

It is 2,500 per election. In other words one can donate to 2,500 to candidates in primary races and then again in the general election.

It seems obvious that at this late date, Newt is either dead or he's got to do something MUCH different. So my questions would be:

1) If he had the funding, would he be willing to go on a series of half-hour prime-time TV fireside chats and level with the American people about who he is, warts and all, what he can and wants to do, and what's at stake? If not, forget it, and it may not matter anyway. If yes, and he moves QUICKLY...

2) How much would that cost - maybe, I don't know, 5 or more half-hour programs (or 20 or 15 minute programs)?

3) How much could Free Republic raise for Gingrich, if JimRob began an all-out campaign to raise enough to do this in this eleventh hour?

With Super Tuesday ten days away, I don't know, it may be too little too late - but if it could happen, I think it has a chance of making a difference.
