Notwithstanding the atrocities committed against us - WHOEVER was in charge of getting rid of the Korans showed a TREMENDOUS lack of judgement.
I was in the military - the commanding officer should have a letter in his jacket preventing him from higher promotion. At THAT level, you MUST be aware of POLITICAL implications - and the commanding officer SHOULD have had the Korans DONATED to the Afghanis.
A LITTLE sensitivity buys A LOT of good will ...
IMHO, the biggest mistake made was before Obama and it was to provide prisoners with Korans in the first place. If prison management requires a reward system that includes reading material, let them read dime store novels. No one would care if they were burned up once the prisoners scribbled messages on them, the prisoners wouldn't have access to their main recruiting tool, and the press wouldn't have gotten as far with their fabricated Quran-in-the-toilet story. That story was designed by the leftist press to do political harm and a lot of innocent people both muslim and western were collateral damage.
The most recent mistake before the latest round of ass kissing by the Thief-in-Chief, was made by whoever just recently - and either stupidly or treacherously - thought it necessary to tell a reporter about the disposal. If done with malice towards the mission, whoever did that is just as guilty as the islamic freaks who are rampaging now of any deaths that resulted. And the reporter who thought it neccesary to pass it on has blood on his or her hands, too.
Obama should be grateful for the story though- it isn't about the economy.
