Obama hits back at Republican criticism of high fuel prices (Obama never accepts any blame)

President Barack Obama hit back on Thursday at election-year Republican criticism of his energy policies, offering a staunch defense of his attempts to wean Americans off foreign oil and saying there is no "silver bullet" for high gasoline prices.

Obama sought to deflect growing Republican attacks over rising prices at the pump, blaming recent increases on a mix of factors beyond his control, including tensions with Iran, hot demand from China, India and other emerging economies, and Wall Street speculators taking advantage of the uncertainty.

U.S. gasoline prices have jumped nearly 9 cents in the past week to an average of $3.61 a gallon, and are expected to rise further toward the crucial $4 mark through the summer driving season and the approach of the November 6 election.

[ President Barack Obama hit back on Thursday at election-year Republican criticism of his energy policies, offering a staunch defense of his attempts to wean Americans off foreign oil and saying there is no “silver bullet” for high gasoline prices. ]

Actually Negrodamus has done none of that...

The Obama Energy Department has quite literally done everything to increase the dependance on foreign oil and other products as well..

Never has he done anything to decrease use of non domestic oil.. steel.. and thousands of other products..
The Obama administration is bleeding America like massive tick or tapeworm... or Vampire..
Americans dont seem to see anything negative about Vampires..

Democrats mostly are all parasites in some way... and not a small amount of RINOS..
This truth should go viral...

The administration’s stated goal is for gas to cost as much here as it does in Europe. So 8 bucks a gallon is reasonable to them.

Gas prices are his Achilles heel, at least it’s one of them. That’s why he’s squealing so much.

Someone in Congress should propose a “tax holiday” on gasoline prices during the summer.

If Obama had done something about the energy situation
when he entered office we would only be a few years
from seeing the results.
As it is, it will take additional years to come to
fruition.
He says it will take too long so why start.
What a pathetic excuse for a president he is.
His time is coming to a close as a foot note to
history.

It’s so funny how the Rats blocked drilling at every turn then blamed Bush when prices rose but now they still block drilling, even a pipeline, and accept no blame for any rise.

Yeah, nice idea except we don’t all live in 50 sq. meter boxes in cities and have trains to take to work. Nor do we drive little 4 cyl death traps...yet, I suppose.

He wants gas prices as high as possible so we’ll cut way back on our driving and emit fewer amounts of CO2. He doesn’t understand that this will destroy our economy.

Ignorant on economics, and doesn’t care.

It’s a fake out. Goose the gas prices now and get them down in time for reelection. It’s one of a host of games to be played to ensure reelection.
